The first glimpse inside the August Allure Beauty Box.
Everything that I received in our August Allure Box. This box had SEVEN items, which is the most I’ve ever received from them!
So what is all this stuff?
Each package from Allure comes with a mini magazine that lists each of the items that we received as well as a transparent neon pouch to hold each of our new items!
Makeup Eraser The Mini in Black

The first item in our box is a mini makeup eraser. Kind of pumped because as much as I’ve seen them around I’ve never tried one. It’s super soft and feels like it won’t be irritating.
All you have to do is add water to this guy and you’ve got an environmentally friendly way to get a full face off. I tried this out and it actually works and it didn’t irritate my skin!
Nuria Defend Triple Action Eye Cream

Wow! This is a full sized product. This eye cream moisturizes and depuffs the delicate eye area. I’m not going to open this though as I don’t use eye creams much. I’ll probably pass this on to a friend.
Laritzy Liquid Beam in Topaz

Laritzy is one of those brands that pops up in subscription boxes from time to time and we’re okay with that. They create high quality, vegan and cruelty free items, cue this shadow (if you watch the unboxing I was totally confused and thought this was a liquid highlight). I actually like this better as highlight as it doesn’t dry down and I can’t imagine it would be comfortable on the eye for any extended period of time.
As a highlight though this has a pretty wet look that is great for a fresh dewy makeup look. You can build this up to make it a bit more blinding but I think it’s nice just the way it is.
Cargo Cosmetics Essential Lip Color in Napa

The next item in our box is a lipstick from Cargo Cosmetics. Subscribers received one of eleven colors in the August edition of the Allure Beauty Box.
We received a deep berry tone called Napa and while it isn’t something I’d generally reach for it’s nice to go a little outside my comfort zone.
Here it is swatched and I have to say this is really creamy and glides on like a dream!
Primera Alpine Berry Water Cream

Next we have a hydrator and illuminator from Primera a new to me brand. This Korean plant based beauty brand uses natural seeds to infuse it’s skincare products. This is a gel like moisturizer (think Belif Aqua Bomb) which doesn’t really work for our dry, dry skin so we’ll pass it on to someone else.
Erno Laszlo Multi-task Eye Serum Mask

Next up is an eye mask from Erno Laszlo. Not really into eye masks but I might give this one a shot as I’ve been noticing some fine lines around my eyes lately.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara

The final item in our Allure Beauty Box for August is a mini sized They’re Real mascara from Benefit. Well, the last thing I needed was another mascara but I do enjoy this one… so I’ll allow it!
So in summary
Presentation: Everything arrived to us perfectly in our August Allure Beauty Box
Quality: This box had a lot of high quality items and we’re really glad that we were able to find values for each item (even the sample sized ones).
Curation: This is a great mix. I may not use everything but it’s definitely worth that $15 spend!
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($15) I received $119 in products which is a phenomenal deal!
