Subscription Box Review

beauty subscription boxes

Everything that came in my Allure Beauty Box for November. This is my absolute favorite box from them YET! Such a good month!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert. This lists each of the items that I received in my box.

Tarte Color Splash Lipstick in Berry Mojito

$21

The first item in my box was a lipstick from Tarte. The color isn’t one I’d pick out but the packaging of this lipstick is GORGEOUS. I was also surprised to see that it’s a matte shade which gives it a unique and distinct look. The lipstick itself is worth more than the cost of the box so I’ll consider this a win!

Elf Poreless Putty Primer

$8

Next up is the item that I was most excited about in this subscription box. The E.L.F. Poreless Putty Primer was one of those products that you couldn’t find for the longest time and I haven’t even had a chance to try it… until now! I am so darn pumped!

This is a great blurring primer that is a great base for makeup. It is pore filling and gives you that airbrushed finish.

Curology The Cleanser
curology clean sweet

This is the cleanser that Curology sends to subscribers who opt for their cleanser and moisturizing option. If you aren’t familiar Curology is a customized skincare subscription box that creates a unique cream that targets your skin concerns and needs. I was surprised to see their products in a beauty box.

Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask

$20

Umm… sorry about this picture. This Vichy Mask has enough product in it for a month worth of masks… so a little goes a long way. This uses AHA to give you more vibrant and glowing skin. They also alternately sent subscribers the Vichy Clarifying Charcoal Mask as well.

Freeze 24-7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum

The full sized version of this mask is valued at $115 which is kind of crazy… why does it seem that eye serums are always the most expensive? Also, Allure tends to send a lot more eye serums than other subscriptions not sure if it’s because their demographic leans a little older or not. But since I’m now in my mid 30’s eye serums are becoming more and more important.

Bliss That’s Incredi-Peel Pads

$6.66

The final item in our November Box are these Glycolic Acid Peel Pads from Bliss. There are five in this box.. I haven’t used them yet but I’m a little confused why they included two peels in one box. Not arguing though.. still a nice item!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything arrived to me perfectly in my November Allure Beauty Box

Quality: Allure had really done a great job of including high end, quality items in this month’s box

Curation: I think the curation was a little off, two peels seems like overkill but like I said this is my favorite box from them OF ALL TIME… sooo… I mean.

Box Economy: For the $15 this box costs I received over $55 in products!
