Here’s the Box Breakdown

Everything that we received in our September “Wild Flower” themed Boxy Charm. This is an awesome mix!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert

When you fold this out you’ll see item that came in your variation along with it’s retail price.

Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten

$28

Our variation came with this Laura Geller baked blush in Tropical Hues. The liquid pigments added to this blush are baked in Italy on terracotta tiles for 24 hours giving this blush the most gorgeous flushing peach color… ever!

Here it is swatched, super pretty!

Ojitos Brush Set from Alamar Cosmetics

$18

Next we have a trio of synthetic brushes – one is a flat painter brush for the lid, one is a fluffy blender, and the last is a flat tight lining brush great for getting up close and personal with your lash lines. We love the rose gold ferul and the fun lime green handles!

Stroke of Wow Roll on Liner from Butter London

$19

Innovative to say the least.. this liner has a unique applicator that looks and acts like a roller wheel. We haven’t tried this yet but it allows you to get a great winged liner effect that is precise as well as smudge proof.

Here’s what it looks like… sorry about this awful picture.

And here are a couple rolls on our hand. It didn’t move much after we washed it but it did flake… haven’t tried it on our eyes though.

Lorac Pro Matte Lip Color

$19

Probably our favorite item included in this box is this matte lip color in the shade “Dusty Plum”. The tube is a twist up and the actual product is a bit like a lip crayon.

We love this color though – it’s subdued but there’s just enough cool tone to make it POP! Very pretty and surprisingly, not overly drying!

Nightingale Smokey Eye Shadow Palette from Pretty Vulgar

$35

The final item in our September Boxy Charm Box is a full sized smokey eye shadow palette from Pretty Vulgar. Love the vintage packaging (it even has a bird on it) and we also like that from month to month they are sending us a color variety (last month was a bold palette from Laura Lee) instead of being repetitive.

This palette does have a mirror as well. There are 12 shades in total – a couple of ours looked as though they had been swatched possibly? Not with a finger but almost like there was a scratch in them… but we’re going to pretend we didn’t see it…

Second from the bottom in the left picture is our favorite shade in the palette. It’s a bit chunky but still really pretty. The two top shades on the right picture are also gorgeous. The darker smokier shades are kind of a bust though… they’re pretty patchy and chalky.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to us perfectly

Quality: Each brand is a high quality makeup line and the items are well made

Curation: There is really a nice variety included and we think we’ll be using each of the items included (we personally wouldn’t have chosen the blush though).

Box Economy: For the price of the box $21 we received $119 in products which is over 5 times the cost of this box. If you are into makeup this is definitely a beauty box you’ll want to try!
