Here’s the Box Breakdown

first look in gramma in a box

Our first glimpse inside the Gramma in a Box Subscription.

Everything that we received in our October Halloween themed Box. This looked so cute – we couldn’t wait to make these!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert. This tells us about our theme and other important information.

The reverse lists the box contents.

Each box contains 2 pieces of parchment paper to make our creations as well as allow them to set.

These pretzels will be used in our Oreo Spiders craft.

These fun fall colored sprinkles will be used in our Halloween Cookie decorating activity.

There are a total of eight sugar cookies included this month for us to decorate. They came in three shapes; a ghost, a candy corn and a pumpkin!

These Cocoa Krispies will be used in our Monster Bark activity.

And more fun sprinkles also to be used in our cookie decorating!

These little candy bones will be used in our Monster Bark.

The melting chocolate will be used in two recipes – the Oreo Spiders as well as our Monster Bark.

Clearly the Oreos are for the Oreo spiders, there are four included in total.

Our three tubes of icing will be used for our cookie decorating.

These shiny sprinkles will also be used to adorn our cookies!

And the worms will be used in our Monster Bark!

Okay so show us what you did?

Our first task was the Oreo Spiders. We gathered everything we needed.

And then melted our chocolate.

We twisted our cookies in half and placed eight pretzels inside and then fastened it together with the melted chocolate.

Like so.

Once we’d done that we attach eyes to our spiders with melted chocolate. There were 4 cookies total but Belle was at Girl Scouts so we saved one for her to do!

Next up is Monster Bark. This cute craft is simple and the kids thought it was delicious!

Add the Cocoa Krispies to the melted chocolate.

And then put the chocolate on your paper in a “rectangular” shape (as you can see….).

Once you’ve done this add your gummy worms and candy bones (and even any eyes that are left over from the spiders)!

Our final project is decorating our Halloween themed cookies. We gather all of our supplies for this.

The kids love this and we give them free reign to design their cookies however they’d like.

There were eight cookies total but again we put 2 aside for Belle. (And yes that is a bite that Oliver took out of that cookie).

Here are our completed cookies!

And our monsters enjoying them!

So in summary

Presentation: We love that this box comes with a use by date and lists each of the ingredients. Also everything arrived in perfect condition!

Quality: We love how well thought out and simple each of the crafts is to create!

Curation: The themes of these boxes get more and more adorable, it allows us to get into the spirit with our children!
