Our first glimpse inside the House Plant Box for May.

The houseplant for this month is an indoor plant called the Peperomia. This plant is an easy to care for plant that falls into the classification of “Radiator Plants”. We love the big waxy leaves and think this will make a great addition to our already existing collection.

So tell us more!

Our House Plant Box came with a card that explained how to care for our Peperomia Plant. It tells us how much light and water the plant needs as well as common issues that you may experience and how to rectify. This plant is also considered pet safe which is a huge plus for us!

These plants are native to South America and generally tend to stay small. There are however, over 1000 species so the look of each plant can vary. These are popular for their ornamental foliage and we have to say it is a very distinguished plant.

If you watched the unboxing you will know that this plant was wrapped really carefully and when we opened the plant the soil was still moist which is really great. The leaves were all lush and the plant is really healthy and acclimating quite well. We couldn’t have asked for a better mail order plant!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything arrived to us perfectly in our House Plant Box which is really important when you are dealing with such delicate plants!

Quality: We feel like this plant is really beautiful and well taken care of. It’s important to note that all the plants from House Plant Box are grown in California.

Curation: This plant is new to us. We’ve never heard of this variety but think it will make a great addition as it’s easy to care for and doesn’t require direct light. We also think that House Plant Box does a great job of explaining how to care for our plant which is really nice!
