Stages of FUNdamentals Subscription Box Review + Unboxing | February 2019

stages of fundamentals review

Stages of Fundamentals creates play kits for kids aged 0-5 with the option to subscribe to receive boxes every other month for the first year and then once every six months after that. The play kit that we received is available for $39.99 and if you subscribe you’ll receive 20% off your first box. We also received an extra special item for our older kids in our kit as well! Not a Tree Reviews received this package at no cost for review purposes.

Here’s the Box Breakdown

first look in stages of FUNamentals

This box was big! We were super excited to see what was inside!

what's in the stages of fundamentals box

Everything that we received in our Stages of FUNdamentals Box. This is a fun mix of items – and we love how they kind of tailored this one for all of our kids!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert (this is actually for a different kit). If you watch the unboxing we were confused for a moment until we figured out what was going on!

Activity Cards

These cards include different age appropriate activities to get kids thinking! There is one for a treasure hunt, balloon ball, freeze, color wheel and the five senses.

Mini Felt Board “Employees”

These felt cutouts are adorable! Each one represents different recognizable “helpers” in our community. We forgot how fun felt can be ( we haven’t had any cool felt toys since our older daughters were born). All we have to do to start the fun is cutout each of our little people!

Melissa & Doug USA 51 Piece Floor Puzzle

$24.99

This was included for our olders and is a large ( 3 x 2 foot) puzzle that has each state along with symbols and landmarks that area is known for.

Penelope thought this was really cool – we love how colorful and bright it is!

Scholastic I Spy at School First Reader

$3.99

These books are always so much fun and they also force kids to look at dimensions, colors and attributes of different items and think critically.

Here’s a couple pages from the book!

Melissa & Doug Bendable Wooden Figurines

$19.99

The final item in our Stages of FUNdamentals box is this “Royal Kindom” set of wooden, bendable figurines. We love Melissa & Doug toys but had never seen these before! These are perfect for both Oliver and Vivienne and because there are so many included (7 pieces in total) they’ll be LESS likely to fight over them.

Here they are playing nicely together.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to us perfectly.

Quality: We love the items that they included and feel like Stages of FUNdamentals does a great job of sourcing age appropriate and high quality, educational toys in their boxes.

Curation: We felt that this box was excellent for our family! Oliver and Vivienne loved the items that were included and haven’t stopped playing with the wooden figures!

Box Economy: For the price of this box we received well over $50 in items which is a great deal!
