Beauty Bag Review

beauty bag review

Our first glimpse inside the Whole Foods Beauty Bag for 2019.

what's in the whole foods beauty bag

Everything that we received in our Whole Foods Beauty Bag for 2019. This is the Self-Care Sunday Bag and our one of a kind bag is from Queen Alaffia, who employs women that formerly worked in the sex trade and provides fair wages and opportunities.

So what is all this stuff?

Our insert lists each of the items that we received.

Trilogy Ultra Hydrating Face Cream

First up in our bag we have this face cream from Trilogy ( a new to us brand). This is a sample size at 0.67 ounces and can be used as often as necessary.

Acure Brightening Facial Scrub

$2.50

The first in a series of Acure Organics products. We are actually really impressed with how nicely they’ve rebranded. This 1 ounce tube of facial scrub includes sea kelp and french green clay and is great for all skin types.

Acure Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil

$11

Our next Acure product is their Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil which has us really intrigued. This is a one ounce bottle and all you have to do is apply 2 drops at night before bed. This is good for sensitive skin as well, which is pretty cool!

Alaffia Coconut Cleansing Shampoo

$3.40

Next up is this Coconut Cleansing Shampoo from Alaffia (same company that made the bag). This shampoo includes henna and we have to be honest and say we aren’t sure how that actually works but… ok?

Evanhealy Whipped Shea Butter for Lips

$9.95

The Evanhealy line is new to us but we have to say upon first inspection we love the thicker lip balms.. they just feel so good in your hand! This formulation uses shea butter and raspberry seed for a soft and nourished feel. This is a 0.25 ounce tube.

Pacifica Stress Rehab Coconut & Caffeine Facial Mask

$3.99

This bag contained a number of sheet masks. The first is this coconut and coffee mask from Pacifica. Great to add hydration after a night out and the caffeine included helps to tighten the appearance of skin.

Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask

$2.99

Next up is this charcoal detoxifying paper mask from Yes to Tomatoes. We’ve never tried any of their sheet masks so we are kind of excited to have received this!

Whole Foods Market Nourishing Royal Jelly Bio Cellulose Mask

We weren’t aware Whole Foods had their own line of skincare but … now we know! This Bio Cellulose (jelly) mask includes wonder product royal jelly to nourish and hydrate your skin.

Acure Radically Rejuvenating Under Eye Hydrogel Mask

$4.99

The final Acure product included in this beauty bag is this set of under eye gel masks. These include cucumber and silk tree to help combat the signs of aging and give you a fresh and less puffy look!

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream

$29

This is another new to us brand. We haven’t tried this out yet but the ingredients it contains like calendula, chamomile and sweet almond meal sound really promising. Also can we talk about how awesome it is that they included a full size tube?!

Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

One of our very favorite clean beauty brands is Derma E. We are pumped to get some of their Vitamin C serum. This doubles as a Hyaluronic Acid cream as well.

Weleda Almond Sensitive Care Facial Cream

$15.99

Another item we are really excited to try out is this Weleda Soothing Facial Cream. This moisturizer contains almond oil which helps soothe irritated skin. Another awesome full sized product!

Alba Botanica Pore-fecting Papaya Enzyme Hawaiian Facial Mask

We haven’t really been wowed by Alba products in the past but have used fruit enzyme masks with great results, so we’ll give this a shot and hope for the best!

Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skin Facial Cleansing Towlettes

$2.99

The final item in our Whole Foods Beauty Bag are these cleansing towlettes from Burt’s Bees. These are great for sensitive skin. We use these to get makeup off of our hands a lot!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything is packaged so nicely and neatly inside this gorgeous bag! We love it!

Quality: We love that they include only the cleanest in skincare products and there were some new brands in here even for us!

Curation: This is for sure a self care package that we will enjoy! There was so much included!

Box Economy: We couldn’t find many of the prices of the items because they are sample size. Having said that for the $20 that this bag costs we still came up with $87 in value which is amazing!
