Our first glimpse inside this week’s Misfits Market Box. We are so pumped to see what’s in here. It’s important to note that Misfits Market uses only environmentally friendly packaging.

So what is all this stuff?

The first item in this week’s box (and an item we seem to get continually) is this lacinato or curly kale. We may sound like a broken record but all we do with this is chop it up and mix with some super finely diced onion and dress it with lemon juice, coarse salt and a wee bit of olive oil! So tasty!

Next we received a Butterhead of Lettuce. This lettuce has soft leaves that almost resemble fabric. We’ve never had it before but we’re guessing we’ll find it acceptable!

The first fruit item we received are these 2 containers of blueberries. There are 12 ounces in total. The possibilities! We could make muffins, pancakes or just eat them like Sal did! Something we want to point out – Misfits typically sends doubles in their Madness Box. This is great if you have a large family like our and one portion won’t cover a meal!

There were 8 red apples. These won’t last very long in our house!

In addition to our 8 red apples we also received 8 green apples. These are great to bake with but we doubt the kids will let them last that long!

In addition to the other fruit offerings that we received in this weeks Misfits Market Box we also received these two HUGE Navel Oranges! We had our little helper hold these for us so that we could get a funny picture of how large they were!

Then in our box we received 4 dragon eggs. PSYCHE!!! We are super excited that we received 4 artichokes. We’ve never made these before and aren’t sure what exactly we are going to do with them but we are super stoked to figure it out! These just look so cool!

Next up we received 2 bags of mini seedless cucumbers. Each bag has 3 cucumbers in it. We love these mixed with sumac, white wine vinegar, garlic and a tiny bit of olive oil. It’s a staple in our lunches!

We also received 4 green bell peppers. These are one of the most versatile vegetables. You can use them in pasta sauces, salads, stir fries, or just slice them and use them as crudites!

The final pieces of fruit that we received in this week’s box from Misfits Market Box are these 2 mangoes. If you watched the video Vivienne added her own commentary and she exclaimed that these were here FAVORITE (so were all the other items that we received). Our kids love mangoes so we’ll have no problem using these up.

We love the different varieties of squash that Misfits Market Box sends us. Last week we received delicatta squash and this week we received spaghettti squash. We’ve never made this type before but feel like we are up to the challenge!

Second to last – we received these 4 bulbs of garlic. We’ve found that organic garlic goes bad way quicker than the type you buy at the supermarket but they are so much more flavorful!

The final item that we received in our Misfits Market Box are these Pee-wee Vidalia Onions. There are 9 total. We almost bought a huge bag on unns’ last time we were at Costco and we’re pretty happy we chose not to now!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything arrived to us in excellent condition in our box for this week. They even included cold packs to keep our fruits and veggies super fresh! We also love that Misfits Market uses eco-friendly packaging.

Quality: We know that they say this is an ugly produce subscription box but we have to say the quality of the produce that they send is top notch. We love that they are committed to sending only organic and non-GMO products as well.

Curation: We think something Misfits Market does really well is keep the variety that they send fresh. Nothing gets redundant for us and we enjoy the continued selections!
