This review is of the Annie’s Young Woodworkers Kit Club:

Annie’s Young Woodworkers Kit Club is a woodworking craft subscription box for children and tweens ages 7-12 years old. Each month they will get a kit to build a wood craft or toy that really works! With minimal supervision, your child or tween will be able to accomplish their own wood craft by following the step-by-step instructions and using all the materials provided.  They will have fun learning a variety of woodworking skills they can carry into adulthood. From using small screws and nails, rounding off edges with sandpaper, handling a hammer, learning the importance of measurement and so much more! Have fun!

Annie’s – Young Woodworkers Kit Club “Tow Truck” Review

Inside each Young Woodworkers Kit Club, you will get all the pieces you need to create a fun craft or toy that really works with easy step-by-step instructions inside each booklet.

Recommendations: The Young Woodworkers Kit Club is one of our seven year old daughter’s favorite subscription boxes (see other Annie’s Kit Clubs reviews here). The second this box arrived at the door, she couldn’t wait to build it. She is a girlie girl, ballet dancer at heart but loves building things and everything cars! So this box could not have been more to her liking! Some assistance from Dad was required to build the wooden town truck but the painting and decorating was all designed by our daughter herself. The sense of pride and focus she had while she was painting was unreal. She couldn’t wait to begin playing with her tow truck and all other activities were put on hold until she had the whole truck painted and stickers applied. This box created the perfect opportunity for some much needed daddy-daughter time in our family. The crafts are complex enough that they take some time to build and wouldn’t be completed within a few minutes but easy enough that an older child could easily create a great project over a few short days or for a younger child with assistance this could allow for some awesome one-on-one time with a parent or loved one. My favorite features of any Annie’s Kit Clubs are the attention to detail and simplicity of instructions for all abilities.

Have you tried the Young Woodworkers Kit Club? Which crafts or toys have to built?
