Our first glimpse inside the May Bonjour Jolie Box. We had no idea this period subscription box was themed!

subscription box reviews

Everything that we received in our May “Bee” themed Bonjour Jolie Box. This month they are donating a portion of the proceeds to The Honey Bee Conservancy and many of the items in this box are .. you guessed it, bee themed. We love anything that is dedicated to bee repopulation, so we are all about this month’s theme!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert. This lists each of the items that we received along with their values.

The back tells us about this month’s philanthropic cause which is the Honey Bee Conservancy. There’s also information that tells us how to get involved ourselves!

Nature Valley Oats n’ Honey Granola Bar

First up is one of this month’s snack items. A very aptly included item, the Oats and Honey variety granola bar from Nature Valley. We love including these in our children’s lunches.

Twinings Tea Assortment

$0.75

To round out our tea portion of this box we received 3 different varieties of Twinings teas. There is an English Breakfast Honey and Vanilla tea (the only caffeinated variety), Honeybush Mandarin and Orange Herbal Tea and a Chamomile Honey and Vanilla Herbal Tea.

Advil

Next we have 2 packets of Advil. We love having these in our handbag for those times you may not have pain reliever on hand. These work not just for cramps but so many of life’s aches and pains.

Dickinson’s Honey and Dipper Set

$3.00

This cute set was adorably packaged which we love. If you watched the unboxing this opened like a gift!

This is the pure jar of honey which we are really excited to try.

And of course we received a pure Maple wood honey stirrer. These are so adorable!

Heavenly Organics Honey Chocolate Assortment

$1.50

Next we have these two snacks from Heavenly Organics. These honey patties are made from pure white honey as well as fruits or mints and 100% pure dark chocolate shell. We received both the Ginger Chocolate Honey Pattie and the Mint Chocolate Honey Pattie, both of which were delicious!

Honey Maid Graham Crackers

Another snack that we received was this individual pack of graham crackers. This is another great lunch box inclusion. To their merit these crackers include 7 grams of whole grain goodness!

U by Kotex Tampons

$4

And of course we need an item that helps us with our time of the month needs… we received an entire box of 18 compact tampons from U by Kotex.

Goodwipes

There are also two shea-coco wipes from Goodwipes. We have found that these are great to keep in either your purse, desk or car for occasions where you need to freshen up but are far from home!

Primrose Honey Candy

$1.50

Next is a package with 6 pieces of Primrose Candy. The kids were super excited to receive these. We enjoyed them as well to be honest!

We love the cute little bees on the package as well! Super sweet!

Beachy Upcycle Queen Bee & Honey Drop Necklace

$12

Our next item fits into the “Unique Gift” category for this subscription box. This necklace is made from upcycled vintage chandeliers which is probably one of the coolest ideas EVER! Additionally, the chains are made from recycled brass and copper sourced in the United States.

The pendant is supposed to be a honey drop with a brass bee perched atop. We couldn’t love this more and it fits perfectly with the theme of this box!

South Bee Farms Solid Lotion Bar

$16

Our pampering item for this box is a solid bar of lotion from South Bee Farm. This bar will provide long lasting moisture (from sustainable and all natural beeswax) as well as a bit of shea butter.

We love that this is made with all natural ingredients and is scented with honeysuckle a floral which is one of our own personal favorites. You can apply this lotion to your hands, cuticles, elbows and heels for deep moisturization!

The Honey Jar Home Honey Sticks

$1

The final item in our Bonjour Jolie Box are these three sticks of honey from The Honey Jar. These are made with natural flavors as well as colors and are made with pure raw honey. We aren’t sure what three flavors we received yet as we haven’t had a chance to use these but we cannot wait to find out. We are guessing the yellow is a traditional honey, the pink is a strawberry honey and the purple is … hmm a lavender or some sort of floral? Not sure, we can’t wait to find out!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to us perfectly in our Bonjour Jolie box. We love how they really put effort to make the packaging match the theme!

Quality: We love that they source many of their items from smaller, lesser known vendors we otherwise wouldn’t have known about!

Curation: This bee themed box was an excellent curation of pampering as well as fun and cute items that we will definitely be able to put to good use! We really enjoyed the theme of this box and how well all of the items that we received came together. This was a super cute assortment.

Box Economy: For the price of this box $23.50 we received well over $40 in items which is an absolutely awesome deal! We loved this box and thought the variety of items was one of our favorites ever!
