Subscription Box Review

subscription box review

Our first glimpse inside the Books and Treasures package that we received. Each item in this box was individually wrapped, like a gift.

book subscription boxes

Everything that we received in our Books and Treasures Box. This is such a color coordinated package – we love the way it all comes together.

So what is all this stuff?

Old Williamsburg Hazelnut Coffee Candle

The first item in our box for July is this yummy scented Hazelnut Coffee candle from Old Williamsburg candles. We love that this has a “to go” cap on it… making it a truly cafe style experience!

Books & Treasures Coffee Soap

Next up is a Books and Treasures Coffee Soap bar. We love all natural soaps and know that ingredients like coffee help to tighten skin and reduce puffiness. This smells great and we’re sure it will leave skin feeling amazing.

Books & Treasures Bottle Opener

Next we have this fun skeleton key bottle opener. It’s in a cool antique copper finish and while we already have one like this we are sure that our kids will love to make pretend with this!

La Crema Coffee Company Creme Brulee Coffee

This 1.5 ounce package of gourmet coffee is no doubt going to be a delicious treat in the morning, this is enough for about three days for us which is a really generous amount. Can you see how the colors in this package are really coming together – we love it!

Coffee Coaster

Then there’s this cute coffee coaster to use with all your new coffee products, the color of this works with the other colors incorporated into this subscription perfectly.

Mug

Our mug is very cool – we are huge fans of earthy tones no matter how much the husband will hate adding another mug to the cabinet.

The inside is a lighter shade and we really feel like this is a great addition to our current collection.

Handmade Bookmark

Every package from Books and Treasures comes with a handmade bookmark. This one fits this month’s book with it’s regal design and attached jewel! The fabric our bookmark is on is a bit stretchy which is cool, we really like this.

The King’s Curse by Philippa Gregory

The book for the month is a work of historical fiction and is from the same author of the Starz series, The White Queen. This story follows lady in waiting Margaret Pole with respect to her view of King Henry the VIII’s stratospheric rise to power in Tudor, England. This looks like it’s going to be amazing and we can’t wait to read it!

The inside of the book has really cool illustrations on it!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything arrived to us perfectly in our Books and Treasures Box

Quality: We think the quality of the items was good, especially the bookmark and the book. We do think this box is a bit at the high end for the price and products included.

Curation: We love the way each of the items comes together and think that colors work beautifully together to make a great unboxing experience. We can’t wait to see how this box evolves as it is in it’s earliest stages!
