Our first glimpse inside the Summer 2019 Earthlove Box. The theme for this season is, “The Sea Calls to Me” and if that isn’t seasonally appropriate we don’t know what is!
Everything that we received in our Summer Box. This assortment is FANTASTIC! We love each of the items that was included in this box and are really happy with the variety. There are some beauty items as well as lifestyle items and snacks for us to try out and enjoy.
So what is all this stuff?
Our first insert in this box comes in the form of a mini magazine.
This page tells us about this season’s featured non-profit, the Coral Reef Alliance. Each box this summer is helping save coral reefs!
Our next page gives us important and amazing facts about coral reefs and also an environmental challenge, a beach clean up!
The next page is a little blurb about how we can connect to the ocean’s magic.
And then we have a recipe to create our own sea salt spray and some live dates for social media.

The first item in our box is an Earthlove exclusive and was a collaboration between Earthlove and Gallant International. The design is absolutely perfect and the material is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and certified fair trade as well. This is extra large and would be great for shopping trips or beach or pool days!

Next up we have a refreshing drink for summer you’ll have trouble saying no to! Flavored with mint tea and hibiscus lemonade soda these drinks come from their 3000 acre regenerative tea garden in Bangladesh. Personally, we love the packaging and found this drink to be bright and delicious and because it’s caffeine free you can feel free to enjoy this drink anytime of day!

Then we have a makeup product, not gonna lie… kinda’ wasn’t expecting something like this but none the less very excited. This is a new to us brand and while the pan looks like a normal neutral shade it’s simply stunning. This shadow is vegan and is infused with … TOPAZ! This product is created with sustainably sourced ingredients including organic coconut oil, shea butter and prickly pear oil.
Here is this gorgeous shadow swatched and we have to say that this is THE perfect color for summer. Shimmery and peachy this is great for an all natural, everyday look or a bright pop on the lid for a night out!

Every box from Earthlove includes a book that is meant to expand your knowledge of sustainability and compassion. This season we received this book of advice on how to live a more compassionate, sustainable life in regards particularly with animals.
It isn’t often in our boxes that we received works of non-fiction so these are always welcome additions to our shelf!
Non Nylon Bamboo Toothbrush from Truly Ecofriendly
This item wasn’t on our insert so we aren’t sure of it’s value but it’s completely biodegradable and all natural. We actually need a new toothbrush and something about black bristles is so cool to us! We also love soft bristles so this is a win on our part!
Glow Juice Refining Enzyme Mask by Earth Harbor

This item was our spoiler for the season and was the item we were most excited for, for the season. With ingredients like red seaweed how could you not include this in a Sea themed package? This is an AHA mask that uses fruit enzymes to exfoliate and resurface the skin. We love the color and cannot wait to give this a go!
We love that this mask works quickly (just 3-5 minutes) to be effective … when you are a Mom of four time really matters. There was also a subscriber only discount code include to give you 15% OFF your next Earth Harbor order.
Lemongrass Wearable Aromatherapy by Warm Human

Now we have an item that we are absolutely pumped to receive. This solid perfume came in a scent that we absolutely love, lemongrass! The pans are handcrafted in California in small batches and can be applied all over your body to relieve stress and anxiety.
This is great to pop on while you are out in the elements to ward off bugs. This is definitely one of our favorite items in this box (we couldn’t decide on a box favorite this season).

Next we have an Earthlove exclusive item in the form of our favorite kind of jewelry – a ring! For each of these rings sold Earthlove donates 10% of proceeds to the Coral Reef Alliance.
The ring is silver and is shaped into a wave, creating dimension and interest.
SPF 50 Water Resistant Zinc Sunscreen Butter by All Good (Beegan Variation)

This first variation was included in the Beegan only box. This one ounce tin contains physical sunscreen that is SPF50 and can be worn up to 80 minutes. This seems like the kind of product that would be great for swiping on the face without leaving a silly white cast.
The product itself has no scent and goes on beautiful just like a body butter.
Moisturizing Shampoo Bar by HiBar

One of the more interesting products that we received in this season’s Earthlove package reduces waste by cutting out the plastic bottle entirely! This shampoo bar is salon quality, vegan, and sustainable with no parabens, sulfates, pthalates or cruelty!
Here is what it looks like – it does have a very clean fresh smell and HiBar was kind enough to include a subscriber only coupon good for 10% off your next purchase.
Save our Seas Medium Bowl Cover by The Edgy Moose Designs (Vegan Variation)

The variant for the All Good Sunscreen Butter was this cool bowl cover from The Edgy Moose Designs. This definitely one of our favorite items in this package and we feel like this is a way better option than those beeswax bowl covers too since you can wash and reuse this one until it falls apart. We are in love with the design and think this is a super cool inclusion in this box.
This is crafted with 100% GOTS certified cotton and is the perfect way to get the plastic out of our oceans.
Oatmeal Cocoa Chip Clean Cookie Bites by Sun + Swell

The final item in this season’s Earthlove box are delicious, all natural snacks from Sun + Swell. These are organic, non GMO, gluten free, vegan and dairy free and the package is entirely compostable which is pretty dang rad!
With less than ten ingredients you’d be hard pressed to find anything tastier out there under the sun (and swell).
So in summary
Presentation: Everything arrived to use perfectly in this season’s Earthlove box
Quality: One of the most amazing aspects of this subscription is how hard they work to deliver us an assortment of items that are completely sustainable and all natural. This is the perfect box for someone who is trying to live a more sustainable life.
Curation: This, “Sea Calls to Me” Box was absolute perfection. The items were beach themed but kept with that all natural and eco-friendly focus of this box which is super important.
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($59.95) we received $177.71 in products (we included both variations) which is an awesome deal!
