Ipsy Plus Glam Bag Review | October 2018

Ipsy is a well know $10 a month beauty subscription that sends 5 sample size beauty and makeup products in a cute little bag. Ipsy Glam Bag Plus is $25 a month and sends 5 full-size products from well-known brands (they sent us 6 this month as a thank you to subscribers). They also have stepped up the bags they send but only send them every 3 months which is fine with me, I am in makeup bag overload. Not a Tree Reviews paid for this subscription and this is the first Glam Bag they have sent and it is awesome.

October Glam Bag Plus we are so excited!!

The bag we received is much bigger than the usual ipsy bags its is a very soft fabric like faux suede and to give you an idea of the size all of this month’s products easily fit in this bag.

$25

This product by itself covers the cost of the entire box so it’s like getting everything else for free. This is such a great mist you can use it to set your makeup and add an instant glow or you can spray in on your bare skin to keep it looking healthy and luminous.

$20

LXMI 100% pure Nilotica Melt: This tube contains only one ingredient – Organic Nilotica Fruit Butter. This a balm-to oil formula is very thick and rich and somewhat hard to get out of the tube. It made the rough patches on my skin feel so much softer although it took some time to fully absorb into my skin. All-in-all a good product if you don’t have to get dressed immediately after application.

$30

Purlisse Beauty Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask & Exfoliant: This mask only requires 10 minutes to get results although they may only be subtle like less noticeable pores or an all-over glow. We tried this mask and noticed a small change in the visibility of our pores and our skin did look healthier with a subtle natural glow. This mask can be used 2-3 times a week for optimal results.

$23

Maneater Mascara by Tarte: I have tried a few different Tarte mascaras and was not super impressed by any until I tried this one. The brush is a stiffer type so it does a great job separating and coating each lash. I love the formula, I was able to put multiple coats on without any clumping and my lashes were still perfect after 12 hours. This is my new go-to mascara.

$14

Morphe High Impact Highlighter in the shade “Extra”: This is the first time I have ever tried morphe highlighter, I do own several eyeshadow palettes from Morphe that I love. This is a powder formula but it feels so creamy and is very pigmented and looks beautiful and blends seamlessly. I hope to see more morphe products in upcoming glam plus bags.

 $29

Smashbox Cover Shot palette in Bold Glitter: I was super excited when I opened this palette and saw how beautiful the shades were and oh so much glitter. These colors do not apply well with just a dry brush I had to use a wet brush or my finger and some were better than others as far as patchiness and pigment. You can see in the picture of the swatches how patchy but I am happy with it regardless, it’s great to add some glitter to an eye look.

Nicole’s Notes:

I think that this is the best box I have ever gotten! For $25 the retail value of the products is over $140 not including the bag. I can’t wait to see what they send next month. Unlike the original Ipsy Glam bag Plus only send makeup bags every third delivery but I am pretty sure they will be a better quality larger bag which is totally fine with me. I’m on Ipsy bag overload like every other Ipsy subscriber. I am not sure if they have a current waitlist but Ipsy Glam Bag Plus is a must for a makeup lovers. Click the link below and head over to the site they still have the $10 subscription as well.
