The Bear and the Piano by David Litchfield is a story about a bear who stumbled upon a piano in the forest. He did not know what it was at first but over the course of years he learned what amazing music he could make with it. He eventually went off to the city to become a famous pianist. Never forgetting his forest friends, he headed back to the forest, only to discover that they had never forgotten him either.

What a beautiful bears mask from Opposite of Far! So much fun to wear while you read the book as a family or for pretend play after. It is an amazing quality mask and will last for a very long time. Adorable, fun bear paw tattoos. My girls love these little extras to go along with the book.

Even before I started the book, my girls loved making their own music with the inflatable guitar, maracas and our piano. While I am writing this review one kid if playing the piano while the other dances around…adorable!

I had no idea I was going to be getting this beautiful gold music note necklace from Unforgettable Jules on Etsy! What a treat for me! 🙂 I’m pretty sure my daughters are jealous.

Verdict: Our whole family loved our LitJoy Crate box! For starters the box was huge…extra points from the kids! I had no idea that we would be getting additional book themed items and a special necklace for me. This box is a great value with all the fun extras that come in the box, many items that will continue to be enjoyed time and time again. The book itself was just released a few months ago, it was a hardcover book and the perfect level for my 3 and 5 year old girls. Both the story and pictures were beautiful! The story allowed for great conversations after the book was over. Even though my kids are young, I can only hope this book will inspire them to do great, no matter what they choose to do. The Bear and the Piano is a book that we will read over and over again many times as a family!
