I was quite interested in this box as I like the idea of receiving a full new look in one box.  Many subscription boxes out there offer only one piece of the puzzle (sock subscriptions, tie subscriptions).  Lustbox curates all the items and packages them together to transform your simple suit into something trend-setting and stylish.

The box itself is of high quality and held together with a hidden magnet.  I like this little attention to detail as it sets the stage for the trendy, sophisticated styles inside.

Each Lustbox comes with an information card describing each item, where to purchase it and the retail price.

John Harris -Lapel Pin

$10.00

The lapel pin is of Swedish design and matches the other 3 items for a unique look.  Personally, its not my style and I have not seen too many men wearing one in the corporate world.

Moustard Knitted Tie

$25.00

I have not ever seen a knitted tie before, but the knit is tight enough that it doesn’t look like a sweater, rather it gives a unique texture.  The bottom of the tie is squared and some traditional dressers may not be a fan.

Melbourne Dapper – Pocket Square

$19.00

This Australian company is re-inventing the simple pocket square with fun fresh designs.  This square blends perfectly with the tie and lapel pin.  The Silk Polyester material feels great and looks great too.

Dead Soxy – Socks

$25.00

Fun socks are all the rage right now and Dead Soxy is sure to please with their designs.  The socks feel amazingly soft with 97% polyester and 3% spandex.  The are sure to fit any size and look great.

Verdict:  While not every piece this month is something I would wear on a routine basis, the items are of high quality and other months had items that would be used more.  The attention to detail is great and the sum of the retail prices easily makes the box a solid buy.  I’m not sure on the floral lapel pin, and possibly substituting that item out for another product may work better for the average customer. Something to note, this box is from Norway, and with the busy Christmas season it took almost a month to arrive.

What did you think of the LustBox?
