Subscription Box Review

My first glimpse inside the Misfits Market Box for October. It’s important to note that all the packaging is either recyclable, compostable or biodegradable!

So what is all this stuff?

First up in my box for the month are these six apples.

Then there are two cucumbers. I like to use these in salads or whatever strikes my fancy.

There were also two of these heads of lettuce included. Of course I’ll be using these in salads and additions to sandwiches and burgers.

I also received two bunches of rainbow chard and one bunch of regular chard. We love chard and sautee it up a lot like you would spinach. In fact all we add is garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil.

There were four orange bell peppers included in my box as well.

Now that it’s getting colder out we won’t grill these yellow squash like we would in the summer but they are still nice sauteed in a pan with a bit of salt, pepper and garlic.

There were six limes included in my box for this week. I actually used these to marinate a pork shoulder the other day and let me tell you that it turned out fantastic!

There were about eight carrots included in my box as well. I don’t remember selecting these but these will be great to add into to school lunches with a bit of dressing to dip them in.

Next in my box is this small head of red cabbage. I do not personally prefer cooked cabbage so I almost always use this is a salad! In fact it’s one of my favorite greens for salad.

Then there were two large red beets included in my box as well. As I always say I love these in a vinegar and sugar glaze!

I also received this medium sized acorn squash. This is my absolute favorite of all squash and is delectable when it’s roasted in the oven.

Finally in my box were six plum tomatoes on the vine. We’ve been using this various ways and the kids have even been snacking on them.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my box from Misfits Market

Quality: I love that all the items in this box are non-gmo and organic! That’s always great to know

Curation: Considering I selected each of the items in my box I’d say that makes the curation excellent
