Subscription Box Review

subscription box review

My first glimpse inside the Misfits Market Box for August. It’s important to note that all the packaging for this subscription is recyclable, compostable or biodegradable.

So what is all this stuff?

First up in my box for the month is this giant spaghetti squash! We haven’t had this in a while so I am excited for it. It’s important to note that all the fruits and veggies included in these boxes is organic and non gmo.

There’s also this giant leek in my box as well! This is huge. I do have the option of customizing my box which is nice. Not all locations have this ability yet. We’ll use this in a soup or mash I’m sure.

There’s also a head of green cabbage. I know people like cooked cabbage but I don’t. I do however love it in salads which is most likely what I’ll do with it!

These mangoes are also really big and they look like they are going to be delicious!

There are also two large english cucumbers included as well. We’ll either eat these as snacks or we’ll just use them in a salad. Either way – yummy!

There were six limes included in my box too. I love these in pico or more recently in my gimlets (absolute best summer cocktail)!

This large eggplant will almost certainly be used in eggplant parmesan! So delicious and everyone in our house loves it!

There were two pints of cherry tomatoes in my box as well. My kids absolutely love snacking on these and they will not last long in my house!

These five peppers will be great in a salsa or put in an omelette!

When bell peppers are an option in my box I always select them because they are so versatile. There were four green bell peppers included in my box for this week.

One of my favorite herbs to cook with is cilantro. This large bunch will be great in marinades and sauces!

There were FOUR heads of lettuce included in my box for this week. We used some this morning on our bacon sandwiches and it was beautiful and delicious. We’ll have to use this quickly as there is so much (first world problems right there)

Finally in my box for the month are these eight pluots. These are a plum apricot hybrid and are absolutely a hit with the kids!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything is packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my box from Misfits Market for the week.

Quality: I love that all the produce included in these boxes is organic as well as non-gmo!

Curation: Because I select everything that is in my boxes I’d say the curation is pretty spot on!
