Our box inserts. All the items in our box can be found online. Misfits Market doesn’t currently include them, they do however tell you about their sustainable packaging and include a recipe to use with your new veggies!

So what is all this stuff?

First up in our box are these 2 English Cucumbers. We love to use these in salads or just cutting them up and snacking on them. We can get 3 of these at Costco for about $5.

Next up we have 5 yummy artichokes. This is a new favorite of ours – they’re super delicious steamed and then dipped in butter! This was the dirtiest box we’ve ever gotten from Misfits Market but that’s great because it means it’s farm fresh!

This lettuce was a bit discombobulated. It was broken and loose but still salvageable. Something we’ve noticed with Misfits Market is that some items are close to expiration. This is one of those items… we make it a point to use these veggies first.

Next we have two bags (each with two) for a total of 4 green peppers. These delicious vegetables are so versatile and they last quite a while so we’re always happy to receive these in our Misfits Market Box!

Great in a salad or sauteed with olive oil and garlic spinach is a power house of vitamins and minerals. We are so lucky our kids aren’t picky eaters and love eating spinach! There were two large bunches included in this week’s Misfits Market Box.

Next we have 2 large eggplants. Fried eggplant is one of our personal favorites – it has such a rich flavor, how can you not?

A first for us in our Misfits Market Box we have 2 bags of mushrooms. We LOVE mushrooms and are so happy to have received these. We love these sauteed in a pan with butter and garlic. We have only one kid that won’t eat these which just means more for us!

Our final vegetable in this box are these 2 beets. We love making these with a glaze – which is how our grandmother made them. How do you make them? Let us know in the comments below!

The first of the two fruit varieties that we received in this box are these 6 oranges. The kids love these and they are the perfect summer fruit, so sweet and juicy!

And finally in our box we have 3 beautiful mangoes. These are such a hit with our entire family and they’re so expensive when you buy them at the grocery store – it is always such a pleasant surprise when we receive them in our Misfits Market Box!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything despite the name of this subscription box arrived to us in pretty darn good condition.

Quality: We love that Misfits Market includes organic produce and seasonal varieties!

Curation: This box was great – probably the dirtiest box we’ve received but that doesn’t bother us in the slightest.
