efrutti Blue Raspberry Bottles

A bottle shaped soft, chewy, raspberry flavoured candy from Germany. I love the texture of these and I couldn’t put them down they were a great chewy candy without the sweetness of many candies.

Wiley Wallaby Gourmet Red Licorice

An Australian style of thick chunks of licorice. They are soft, chewy and full of rich flavour. I love these thick licorices, they had the same taste as regular licorice but in an awesome large chunk.

Foley’s Midnight Mints

A delicious Canadian made mint and chocolate sandwich like treat. These chocolates were amazing! They were the perfect combination of flavours, and I ate them all!

Albanese Apple Rings

A sweet and tart, lightly sugared, chewy apple flavoured ring candy. Apple flavoured candies are some of my favorite candies and these are delicious.

Neon Sour Worms

A chewy worm shaped candy, covered in sour sugar creating a delicious tartness. Flavours include: raspberry, lemon, orange, cherry and green apple. These candies are pretty much a stable in our house and a family favorite… need I say more!?

Wonka Runts

A hard fruit flavoured candy with flavours of banana, orange, strawberry, apple and grape. I cannot wait to introduce these favorite candies from my childhood to my children.

Vanilla Caramels

The classic, Canadian made vanilla caramels have the perfect warm vanilla taste and soft, chewy texture each individually wrapped. A great classic candy and these are so soft…not like the ones normally found in stores. They require a little more work to open, which is good as they slow me down from eating them so fast.

Verdict: What a fantastic box! I love candy and the March Candy.ca box was absolutely delicious!!! The perfect mix of sweet, sour, chocolaty, chewy, sugary and hard candies. I’ve only had this box for a few days and almost everything is gone. Candy.ca is always trying to improve their box and really listens to what the subscribers want. They have recently lowered their shipping rates to $6.95 and added the subscription option to receive a candy box every two months. I think  these are great improvements and many people will be happy. Great job Candy.ca! I am a candy lover and I am hooked!

It’s almost Christmas time and it’s the perfect time for another candy box!

This month we had so much fun sharing and crafting with the candy from our box and the kids were all on a sugar-high for quite a while afterwards.

Each Candy Box comes with an information card outlining each candy in your box for that month, complete with nutritional facts and even some fun candy facts and trivia.

Allan Mini Sour Blue Raspberries

A sweet and sour, sugar covered blue raspberry flavoured gummy with a rich raspberry taste. These are amazingly soft and so good! Now that I have tried these, I know they will not last long around me.

Fini Red Spiral Licorice Wheels

A fruity and chewy licorice candy from Spain. These strawberry licorice spiral wheels are so fun to eat and unroll. A huge hit with my kids!

Ferrara Cola Bottles

A soft and delicious cola bottle! Definitely one of my favorite candies ever! Even as an adult I love these “5 cent candies”. My poor family never even got to try any of these before I ate them all… oops.

Cavalier Assorted Baby Pillow Mints

These hard Christmas candies bring back some great memories from when I was a little girl. They come in a variety of flavours; sassafras, clove, mint and other spicy flavours.

Dark Chocolate Covered Cranberries

Sweet and plump cranberries covered in delicious dark chocolate. These are perfect for the holiday season! I am normally not a big fan of dark chocolate, but these are great!

Sweet’s Sour Cherry Balls

A mixture of sweet and sour cherry flavour in a chewy candy. It has a harder chewy exterior with a softer, gooey centre. A very yummy flavour, loved by my whole family.

Pizazz Fancy Fruit Slices

A colourful assortment of soft and sweet fruit jelly slices created by Winnipeg based Cavalier Candies. My girls loved eating their favorite colour combination.

Our unique, creative Candy.ca box gingerbread houses from a 3 and 5 year old.

Verdict: I love candy! I could eat it every day and with very little self-control. That is what happened to those Coke Bottle candies, that I did not share with anyone else. What can I say… they were so yummy!!!  This morning my girls and I decided to be creative with the candy from our candy box. We made homemade gingerbread houses with our friends and decorated them with the candy from our box. What a great way to eat the candy and have fun with the candy at the same time. Who’s to say that the candy of only for eating directly from the bag?! With Christmas only a few days away, I look forward to sharing some of the candy with friends and family and this month’s box had some great Christmas candies and chocolates perfect for sharing!

I love candy… so this box is perfect for me! My family is lucky if they get a few samples. 🙂

I am not sure what the theme of this box is, but my guess would be “randoms“ and how perfect it is that the first candy out of the box I sampled was the Randoms.

When my box arrived I literally was like a kid in a candy store (no pun intended)! The box was very simple and eye catching. I could hardly wait to sample each one but first I had take all my review photos. Life is rough…work before candy (and fighting off the kids who are eyeing up the treats).

Each month Project Candy Box sends out an information card describing what the box is all about. Unlike most subscription boxes they have opted to include a blog link for you to learn more about the items you received in this months box.

They also include an amazing incentive to help spread the word about Project Candy Box on social media. To be enter to win a free box next month all you need to do is upload a photo of your unboxing moment #projectcandybox and tag Project Candy Box.

Good Luck!

Lot 100 Lychee Gummies – Malaysia

A soft, squishy, individually wrapped lychee flavoured candy. I am assuming that is the flavour, I have never tried lychee before. It is a unique textured candy and the colouring is not as pink as the photo shows. These will be great to share at a later date with our family and friends, maybe they will love them.

Cadbury, Dairy Milk Marvellous Creations – Jelly Popping Candy – UK

Small jelly beans and popping candy baked into a creamy milk chocolate bar. This chocolate bar sounds like so much fun! This is nothing like I have every had before and I am looking forward to sampling it.

Frazzles Crispy Bacon Crisps – UK

A salty and smoky bacon flavoured crispy corn snack. These almost resemble a chip that looks like bacon. My bacon loving husband was very excited about these, but he did complained they were extremely salty even after only a few. My daughters loved them!

Revels – UK

A random mixture of orange cream, coffee cream, caramel, chocolate raisins, chocolate buttons and Maltesers. You never know what you are going to get! This sounds like a fun candy game… I hope I get the caramel or raisins! 🙂

Wonka Randoms – UK

An endless variety of shapes. No two bags are alike. There are three different types of candies: normal transparent gummies, transparent gummies with white foamy backs, and gooey filled gummies with white foamy backs. Gummies are my favorite and I ate all of these first. My daughters loved picking their favorite fun shapes out of the bag.

Sweet Tarts Soft and Chewy Rope

Chewy licorice ropes filled with a creamy cherry punch. These are amazing, I am sad that there is only 4 of them.

Jolly Rancher Mango Crayon

A very powerful and and sweet mango flavoured candy with a grainy, gooey texture. As I was writing my review I just had to try this candy! I could not imagine what a grainy gooey texture was, but I must say, it was delicious and very flavourful!

Mike and Ike Zours

Chewy, sour fruit flavoured candies. Flavours include sour lemon, sour green apple, sour watermelon, sour blue raspberry and sour cherry. I was imagining these to be super sour but was pleasantly surprised with a mild sour flavour. All the flavours tasted so good!

Toronto Blue Jays Chewy Candy Laces – Canada

Sweet and sour strawberry laces. A small strip of sugar coated candy. I am proud to see a Canadian baseball teams candy make the candy box this month!

Rad Pack Gum

Radical bubble gum balls in five extreme flavours: super sour, mouth mess, foaming flavor, ball of fire, extreme cool. I remember having something similar to these when I was younger and more daring. My daughter saw them and wanted the red one (ball of fire)…um… no (this coming from a girl who doesn’t like anything hot and spicy)! This would also be a great game to play with friends…you never know which flavour you are going to get! Hehe!

Verdict: Who wouldn’t want to get candy delivered monthly to your door?! This is the first time I have tried a Project Candy Box and I loved it! If you are a candy lover, this box is for you! The variety in the box is amazing… many different tastes and textures for whatever candy mood you are in. This box gives you a wonderful sampling of many fun, and some crazy, candies from Canada and around the world. It brings me back my youth and some of the great candies I use to have, Jolly Rancher Crayon and Radical Bubblegum. My only problem with the candy box is that I have a hard time pacing myself and I want to eat them all!

What was your favorite candy in this months Project Candy Box?
