The first glimpse inside the box from the Salty Owl Studio. Everything is packaged really cute!
Everything that came to me in my box from Salty Owl Studio. This looks like it’s going to be one heck of a night!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box inserts. The first is a welcome to the box and the other is a bunch of sheets that walk us through the activities in this month’s box.
Sheet by sheet these explain how to complete this month’s project, recipe and then how to stream this month’s movie, Miracle!
The first item in our box are these seven packets of Eraser or Polymer Clay. We’ll be using these to make pencil toppers!
The colors are fun and I can’t wait to start creating with the kids on this one!
Then there are these different wooden, clay shaping tools from Mone Mart.
There are six in total that will be great with shaping, flattening and scoring our clay.
There’s also a wrapped assortment of different colored pencils. These all match the colors of clay that we received.
These colorful pencils are from Bic France and I just love the different colors.
Next up is another tool for our clay. These toothpicks will also be great to write into or score our clay erasers. There are five in total that were included in our box.
Each box from the Salty Owl Studio comes with a snack, this box comes with four bags of Cracker Jack. Which is just enough so that each of my kids could have a bag. My kids loved the little tattoos that were included with these!
The final item that was included in our box is our game for the month, “Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza”. This game is a family card game for kids 8+
As a family we have been playing tons of games now that the kids are a bit older. This one requires players to recite the words Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza in order as you slap cards down on the table… we haven’t played this yet but it sounds like tons of fun and I can’t wait!
Okay so now what?
To create our polymer clay erasers we start by warming the dough in our hands.
This stuff is tough so it takes a little bit.
Then we each decide what we’d like to make, Penny decides she wants to make a sea turtle.
I decide to make an orange rose… it’s one of the only things that I can make in clay.
And Belle decides to make an Earth!
Here is Penny’s somewhat finished turtle. I thought it was GREAT!
Here is my rose… I have to say that I’ve outdone myself… LOL
Penny decided though that her turtle wouldn’t be complete without some scrunchies… OK… I guess.
And then the little ones came to join us to craft some clay… none of which was suitable for a pencil topper.
There was enough clay that the girls then moved on to their second erasers. Belle decided to create a bumble bee
Penny decided to make an angelfish.. which she later scrapped for an angelfish.
And then Oliver made … something as well… he said it was a smiley face.

Next we put all of our clay creations into the oven and bake them at 250 degrees for about twenty minutes per quarter inch. When we pull them out and cool them off we put them on our pencils and we are left with these cool erasers. There’s my rose, Penny’s turtle, Belle’s Earth that she put a stick figure of herself on top of, Belle’s bee and Penny’s Faberge Egg… which I have to say was a really unique and bold choice!
So in summary
Presentation: Everything in this box was individually wrapped and came to me perfectly. Very good presentation
Quality: I love that the game isn’t one that I’ve hear of before and that the tools that we used for the clay were from Mone Marte! The quality is definitely there with this subscription.
Curation: I thought the contents of this package really came together to create a really great family night. We had tons of fun creating this and will definitely be playing the card game very soon!
