What snacks are inside the TokyoTreat Harajuku Snackventure Box?
Cookies & Cream KitKats
KitKats are my favorite chocolate bars, and sampling new flavors every month is a thrill! The packaging, featuring a delicious bowl of cookies and cream ice cream, immediately intrigued me about these KitKats. They resemble the original bars, but the taste is a delightful surprise with a sweet and creamy taste instead of the usual milk chocolate. My whole family loved the Cookies & Cream KitKat bars.

Fruity Fizz Gummies
These are probably one of the best candies within this month’s box. The perfect sized, mini chewy candy, in the best flavours: apple, grape, cola, and soda. I only wish the package was bigger or I didn’t have to share with my family because these delicious little drops didn’t last too long.

Grape Rainbow Belts
Another delicious candy! Sweet, Sour and chewy all at once. I could eat this all day, but I probably shouldn’t…hehe. The only saving grace to slow me down from eating it all up at once, was my daughter telling me to tear each tiny strip off, one at a time and eat it. Best advice ever! 🙂

Salted Lemon Pretzel Sticks
I did not know what to expect with these pretzel sticks. I knew it could go either way, delicious or awful. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the combination of pretzel, lemon and saltiness. They are yummy! The thin sticks allow for a small dose of flavours at once.

Kirby’s Crazy Gum Mix
This has to be one of the best flavours of gum I have ever had and what makes it even better are the recipes for different flavour combinations on the back of the package. I am still amazed the combinations actually taste like the final result. They have turned something simple like gum into a science project with mixing and matching to make new flavours. 🙂

Happy Harajuku Choco Cake
This chocolate sponge cake snack brought back memories of my childhood. It reminded me of the chocolate coated cookie part of a wagon wheel, but without the marshmallow filling. l definitely prefer this version without the marshmallow inside.

Garlic Potato Chips
I love being able to try a different flavour of chips in my TokyoTreat box each time. I feel like this is one product I get in every box, but each time it is some flavor I have never heard of, which is so much fun! This month’s garlic potato chips bring a great garlic punch for all those garlic lovers, including myself.

Mega Marshmallow Stick
My kids love these marshmallows on a stick. This is not their first time having a cute character marshmallows, and of course they ate it up right away. They particularly loved the light sugar coating on the sweet chick marshmallow and the soft, airy texture of the marshmallow.

Crunchy Cheese Puffs
These cheese puffs had a light crunchy texture with a mild cheese flavour, but I would have preferred a stronger cheese taste. They did have a small hint of a fishy taste, yet everyone in the family still found them delicious.

Simply Sweet DIY Ice Cream
My kids and I were completely in awe of this amazing candy! It was so cool! We got to make out own strawberry candy ‘ice cream’ complete with cone. We have never seen anything like it. It was so easy, just add water to the power, stir, and like magic, you have ‘ice cream’. Not only was it cute and so much fun, but it was delicious too!

Super Sour Chewing Candy
This rope stick candy was delicious. I am a huge fan of chewy candies and this one had the perfect amount of chewiness. The flavour was on point with tasting exactly like a Monster energy drink.

These small twisty bites were rich in chicken flavour. They are a great savory alternative to the common sweet and salty snacks I usually crave. It brings back memories of when I was a kid and had dried uncooked ramen noodles with the chicken flavour on them. It was okay tasting but not my favorite go so snack.

Seafood & Vegetable Dashi Ramen
Through delicious and unique snacks, TokyoTreat allows everyone to enjoy cultural exploration without leaving the comfort of their homes. Each month we are introduced to Japanese flavors rarely found elsewhere in the world, appealing to everyone from world travelers to those newly curious about Japanese treats.
Each time I open my TokyoTreat box I begin a journey into the diverse landscape of Japanese treats, and their cultural elements through their unique flavors and imaginative presentations. This month some of my favorite snacks include the distinctive taste and fun items like Cookies & Cream KitKats, Fruity Fizz Gummies, and the interactive DIY ice cream candy. The combination of snack variety and cultural exploration are the perfect balance to engage both the adults and children in experimenting with new tastes and textures. I cannot wait to see what next month’s theme will be. 🙂
