whole foods beauty bag 2020

Each year Whole Foods has a beauty week where it offers 25% off all it’s beauty products. The Friday of this week this year they are offering two beauty bags (in store only while supplies last) the Conscious Beauty Kit (what I’m reviewing) and the Renew Your Beauty Ritual Kit. Each costs $20 and each has over $120 in products. NAT paid for this bag.

My first glimpse inside my Whole Foods Beauty Bag for 2020

cruelty free beauty bag

Everything that came in my Whole Foods Beauty Bag for 2020. This is the Conscious Beauty Kit I’ll include an image below of the instore display that shows both bags. There are a total of 17 items in here some of which are FULL SIZE!

So what is all this stuff?

whole foods beauty week

So first off – to get these bags you’ll have to go in store while supplies last. You can find them at the customer service desk and they’ll have a display with both bags set out for you to choose which one you’d like. The Conscious Kit is on the right. I selected this one because I have a few of the items in the Beauty Renewal Kit.

We do receive in an insert as well as a one of a kind Batik bag from Queen Alaffia Cosmetics. Each bag is handprinted by women who were former victims of the sex trade and are made at the Togo, West Africa Queen Alaffia Center.

Inside the bag there is a black liner.

Our insert lists each of the items in this bag but it does not list prices unfortunately.

Thayers Witch Hazel Blemish Stick
thayers blemish stick

$8.99 (full size)

This full size lemon and witch hazel infused blemish stick from Thayers works to reduce the size and appearance of blemishes on the skin. There was also a full size Thayers product in the other Whole Foods Beauty Bag.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil
trilogy certified rosehip oil

(sample size)

While this is not a full sized product it is 5mL while the full sized version is 45mL and retails for $54! I really like trying different face oils on my skin so I’m excited to find out more about this product from Trilogy – a brand that was included in last year’s Whole Food’s Beauty Bag as well.

This produce uses Rosehip oil that is certified organic to nourish and moisturize skin. I love that they use recyclable glass as well! You can use this one face and body.

Dr. Hauschka Facial Toner
dr. hauschka facial toner

$37 (full size)

Next up is a product from Dr. Hauschka, who was also in last years bag. This full sized facial toner uses a blend of essential oils and extracts to tone the face after washing. I’m excited to try this out and see how my skin likes it and I LOVE the packaging – glass and metal!

Evanhealy Rose Geranium HydroSoul  & Rosehip Rose Serum
evanhealy rose geranium hydrosoul

$9.95 (HydroSoul) $9.50 (Serum)

While this bottle of HydroSoul isn’t a full sized product it is still available for purchase on the Evanhealy Site. Using a combo of the Rosehip and Rose Serum along with the Rose Geranium Hydrosoul Spray will give your skin a new lease on life with refreshing and calming ingredients. You guys know how much I love products that use rose as it’s such an anti inflammatory product!

Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Leave-in Conditioner
shea moisture leave in conditioner

$3.99 (travel size)

Next up in our bag is this leave in conditioner from Shea Moisture. This is a travel size but is available for purchase on the Shea Moisture site. I remember not loving the way their products smelled when I tried them out a few years ago but I love trying out leave in conditioners!

Mad Hippie Vitamin A Serum
mad hippie vitamin a serum

$32.99 (full size)

Then we received a full sized product from Mad Hippie a brand that I’ve heard so much about but have never had the opportunity to try! Woot! Vitamin A is also called Retinol so while you may not have used this as Vitamin A most people have tried Retinol! I am excited to use an all natural alternative!

Derma E Blue Screen Purify & Protect Digital Detox Spray
derma e blue sceen purify protet spray

$4.50

Next up is a product I have tried and think is innovative and interesting. This spray give you blue light protection, all you have to do is shake and spray over makeup to set in place. This acts as a setting spray in addition to a blue light shield – I love Derma E products and this one is no exception!

Burt’s Bees Daily Moisturizing Cream
burt's bees daily moisturizing cream

(sample size)

Next up is a product from a brand that we all know and love, Burt’s Bees. This daily moisturizing cream is great for sensitive skin which kind of has me pretty excited. If I end up liking this a lot I’ll probably splurge on the full size!

Queen Alaffia Purely Coconut Lip Balm
alaffia coconut lip balm

$2.99 (full size)

Then from the same brand that made our one of a kind bag is a coconut lip balm. Coconut Oil is used to nourish the lips, used as much as you need throughout the day!

Purezero Sea Salt Spray
purezero sea salt spray

This is a brand that I’ve never heard of and couldn’t find prices online. But y’all know I love me a great sea salt spray so I am pretty stoked to try this out. I am pretty sure that this is a sample sized product.

Weleda Lip Butter
weleda lip butter

$6.99

Then we have a product I am pumped to try from Weleda, their skin food lip butter. I have super dry lips especially in every season of the year (hehe) so this looks extremely nourishing for people in my same situation. The description which says rich and oil based got me!

Yes to Watermelon Watermelon Super Fresh Paper Mask

$3.29

I remember reading something about Yes to’s products not being that clean or great for you and this kind of reminds me of that Watermelon line that E.L.F. came out with last year but I don’t know, something about this seems really cute. I will probably pass this on to my second oldest daughter.

Pacifica Rehab Rose & Coconut Makeup Removing Wipes
pacifica rehab rose coconut makeup wipes

(sample size)

Then we have this 10 count package of makeup removing wipes from Pacifica. I have to say that I love all the rose products that have been included in this collection. And the packaging of these is really cute – I hope they don’t irritate my skin.

Whole Foods Clarifying Papaya Cotton Cupra Mask
whole foods clarifying papaya cotton cupra mask

$2.99

Then we have a product from WHOLE FOODS! This cotton mask harnesses the power of papaya to hydrate and enliven the skin. I didn’t know that Whole Foods even made skincare products!

Acure Ultra Hydrating Green Juice Cleanser
acure ultra hydrating green juice cleanser

(sample size)

I think Acure products are okay but this one… something about the name is extremely intriguing. I think we are so ingrained to think green juice is good for us that even rubbing it on our face is appealing. I’ll def be trying this out, and I love the packaging!

Not Your Mother’s Royal Honey & Kalahari Melon Butter Masque
not your mother's honey & kalahari melon butter masque

$2.99

I know a lot of people aren’t into their products anymore but I’ve always really like Not Your Mother’s. I’m excited to see that they are branching into the organic department as well. I love hair masques and will definitely be trying this out!

Mineral Fusion Mini Volumizing Mascara
mineral fusion volumizing mascara

(sample size)

The final item in my package is a makeup product (which I was somewhat surprised by). This black mascara is from Mineral Fusion and while I have so many I’ll be passing this off to a friend of mine.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything is packaged well and arrives to me perfectly in my Whole Food’s Beauty Bag for 2020

Quality: Considering these are all vegan and organic and cruelty free products – I think the quality and love that’s put into them is excellente!

Curation: I love this bag and think that I’ll be using most of the products that have been included!

Box Economy: While I couldn’t find many of the prices of the products because they are sample size with the values I could find I still received over $138 in products for just $20!
