Our first glimpse inside the Universe Bound Package.

book subscription boxes

Everything that we received in our June Universe Bound Package. This Deluxe Box is full of amazing items. 3 books, an audiobook and a bevy of bath products, snacks and teas (even coffee this month)! Such a great box!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert came in this wax sealed envelope. It lists each of the items that come in not only the deluxe box but also the normal monthly box.

Blood Defense Audiobook

The first item in our Universe Bound Box is an audiobook by Marcia Clark and performed by Tavia Gilbert. This is the first in a series from famed prosecutor Marcia Clark as well as best selling author.

This story follows Samantha Brinkman – an LA based attorney who lands a high profile case but is taken aback when she realizes the man she is defending is dangerous! Audiobooks are included in the Deluxe Box only

Ghostly Paws by Leighann Dobbs

Next is a book from USA Today Best selling author Leighann Dobbs and is another female driven mystery novel. Cass confronts her home town while putting together the clues to a cover-up… but time is running out for Cass! This sounds like a lot of fun!

The Cat Who Could Read Backwards by Lilian Jackson Braun
the cat who could read backwards

Our second book in our Universe Bound Book Box is a fun mystery novel that includes the art world and a who dunnit involving a reporter named Qwilleran and a cat named Koko. What could be more fun than a novel about a cat detective? We aren’t sure but not many things!

Murder at Archly Manor by Sara Rosette

Our third and final book in this box is probably the one that we are most excited about. The cover art alone is intriguing! This was included in the Deluxe Box only and follows Olive Belgrave as she delves into the mystery surrounding her cousins fiance Alfred. This is the first in the High Society Lady Detective series of charming historical cozy mysteries. We are excited to read this one!

Jovian Rose Candle

The next item in our box is a candle that is scented with Jovian Rose. This is a 4.5 ounce size and came in both the regular and deluxe sized Universe Bound packages. This smells great! It has a wood wick and kind of looks almost like the beach if you ask us! This will be nice to burn!

Liquid Soap with Foamer Pump

Then there’s a 50 mL bottle of liquid soap and a pump bottle to put it in. We think this is a cool idea and while we aren’t sure what it smells like yet – this is a cool inclusion in this box. This was included in the Deluxe Box only.

Popcorn Experience Kit

One of the cool things about this box is that they include everything you need for a fun night in with a popcorn experience. This includes two paper bags, 3 ounces of popcorn and five popcorn bags. This is included in the Deluxe box only. We love doing this with the kids and having a really fun movie night!

Clementine Sunset Tea

Every box from Universe Bound comes with a handmade tea – this one comes from the Jasmine Pearl Tea Company and includes a blend of rooibos, orange zest, citrus essential oils as well as chamomile. This is a bright and lively herbal – great for curling up with a book in the evening. We love that they include a few disposable tea bags to put our loose leaf tea in!

Rock Sugar

You can use this cool looking sugar in either your new tea or coffee. There were 2 ounces included in total in our Universe Bound Book Box for July.

Plutonian Mist Bath Bomb

This bath bomb is huge and smells amazingly of a mild floral. We love bath bombs and can’t wait to try this one out. While both boxes for the month come with a bath bomb it’s important to note that the Deluxe Box included a larger bath bomb.

Death Wish Roast Coffee from Death Wish Coffee

First time ever we’ve received a coffee in our Universe Bound Box for July. It just so happens that this coffee has double the caffeine of normal coffees without adding any caffeine or additives. The blend is Arabica and Robusta beans and is fair trade. This coffee was included in the Deluxe Box only.

Alien Fruit Soap

This soap is embedded inside a loofah and smells beautifully of fruit. It looks really pretty as well. This soap was included in the deluxe box only.

Plutonian Mist Reactive Dust

The next item is a Deluxe Box exclusive and is sort of a deconstructed version of our bath bomb.

We love that you can see all the botanic ingredients in this – it smells wonderful. We can’t wait to use this!

Snacks

Finally in our box for the month we received an entire brown bag of treats! There was one biscotti cookie, 5 apple candies, 5 prince of peace ginger chews, 2 werthers caramels, 5 espresso candies and 1 Matcha flavored kit kat bars! There was so much. We had a few (too many pieces) and gave the rest to the kids!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything arrived to us perfectly in our Universe Bound Box and it was all packaged so well (as always).

Quality: We love that they include handmade items and that the names are always related to space – this makes them very unique!

Curation: This month’s box was amazing and we are so impressed with the selection of items! These are always so comprehensive and cover every base. There is a lack for nothing in this box!
