My first glimpse inside the Allure Beauty Box for October

Everything that came in my Allure Beauty Box for October. This is a nice mix but I’m hoping that November looks a bit more substantial.

So what is all this stuff?

Every box from Allure comes with a “mini magazine” which lists each of the items that you received in your box and how to use them.

Wilma Schumann Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads

First up in my box for the month are these eye pads from Wilma Schumann. This is one pair (normally they are sold in packs of five pairs). These use collagen to make eyes appear less puffy and sleepy looking.

La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm AP+

While I am not a huge fan of La Roche Posay… (not that their products aren’t great, just not great for my skin type) I do really love their Lipikar Balm. I find that this makes a great cream to put on before bed each night and will optimally hydrate the skin. Probably not the best choice if you have oily skin.

Sigma Liquid Lipstick in Venom

Next up we have a sample sized liquid lipstick from Sigma.

The shade that came in boxes for the month is venom and it’s a sultry red that is perfect for fall!

This had no real smell and took a bit to dry. Richly pigmented this does transfer the slightest bit.

Verso Super Eye Serum

$65

Our first full sized product in this box is this eye cream from a new to me brand, Verso. This lightweight cream won’t irritate eyes is their claim to fame. I have tons of eye cream but I’ll certainly give this a shot, hoping it adds a few less years to my face.

The Nue Co Topical C

$70

Then we have the innovative product from the Nue Co. This powdered Vitamin C can be added to your moisturizers or serums for a lightweight alternative to another added serum. I’ve never seen a powdered product like this one and really love the aesthetics of this brand. I’m definitely going to try this product out a bit!

Static Nails Liquid Glass Lacquer in Irene

$16

Another new to me brand this nail lacquer is in a muted pinky nude shade that I really like. I am always down to try out new nail polish brands so this is a win for me!

Rusk Puremix Shampoo & Conditioner Sample

Second to last in my box is this shampoo and conditioner sample in Native Fig scent (which sounds really interesting honestly.). These sort of samples don’t really interest me much but I’ll still try this out. This product is sulfate and paraben free (and free of a bunch of other yucky stuff as well)

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream

$48

The final item in our box for the month is the Ceramidin Cream from Dr. Jart. I really love this cream and am really happy to have received this. This is a great fake it til you make it product as you see results almost instantly.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my box from Allure

Quality: I really like the quality of each of the products that they included this month

Curation: I’m a little disappointed in the box on a whole but still think it was well worth the price.

Box Economy: For the price of this box ($23) I received well over $190 in products (I didn’t add in sample sized values) making this a great deal for the $23 that you pay
