Everything that we received. Be mindful though, this subscription comes with just a book monthly. But we did get that cookie (that tasted amazing) in the perfect color for the summer!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert. This tells you about their affiliate program, for each person that signs up you’ll get paid.

This cookie looked cute and had the perfect colors for summer but it also tasted amazing! Totally enjoyed this cheat snack!

The Downstairs Girl by Stacey Lee

The book that I chose for the month is, “The Downstairs Girl” by Stacey Lee. In addition to this title subscribers could also choose; Mind Games by Shana Silver, a sci-fi novel, House of Salt & Sorrows by Erin A. Craig, a fantasy novel, Color Me In by Natasha Diaz, a debut in contemporary fiction, and Hello Girls by Brittany Cavallaro and Emily Henry, another contemporary fiction novel. I love that BOTM dresses these up with their own branded dust jacket.

I chose this book because it’s a historical fiction novel and I really love period pieces. This novel follows Jo Kuan a made by day and an advice columnist by night. Jo gains popularity and starts using the column as a way to draw attention to the things in society she frowns up and sets of a wave of backlash. Her anonymity is on the line as people want to know who’s behind her column and as she searches for her past. This book looks like it’s going to be a amazing and I can’t wait to read it!

So in summary

Presentation: We love the packaging (particularly those BOTM dust jackets) and everything arrived to us perfectly.

Quality: The quality of each of the books that Book of the Month sends is great and they’re hardcover too which is a big plus!

Curation: Considering the selection is ours each month we think this subscription does a great job of offering up numerous different books from a variety of genres, bravo to Book of the Month Club!

Box Economy: For the price of this box ($14.99) we received a book valued at $17.99 which is a great deal!
