TOPBOX is a monthly Canadian make-up and beauty subscription box. Inside each box you will get 4 beauty samples (Prive Topboxes have 1 or more). These samples may include skincare, body care, makeup, hair care and fragrance. Most of the brands are high-end and well known, with some newly launched and small or niche samples.

A limited number of Prive Topboxes are available each month. You will see what’s inside when you decide to ‘wish list’ or choose the box (even if you ‘wish list’ this box you may not always get it, if not you will receive the regular Topbox beauty box)

TOPBOX November 2020 Review:

You will not receive an information card inside the TOPBOX. Instead, a few days before your box arrives in the mail you will get an email with your box spoilers. It provides you with further information about each product, retail prices and links for where to purchase each of the products.

Verdict: It has been years since I’ve received a TOPBOX. This month I decided to try it out again. I think the value of this box was definitely there. It only cost me $15 and I got over $50 in beauty products. Three of the products were full-sized and only one sample sized product. I was disappointed that the sample product I got, Benefit Cosmetics the POREfessional, is the product I was most looking forward to trying and a full-sized version would have made this box over the top, IMO. Overall, this is a popular, affordable beauty box and allows you to try out a variety of beauty and skincare items each month for only $15!

Verdict: I cannot believe that I can get a Lip Monthly bag for only $5 US and the products inside retail for $54 USD! To me, that is a huge steal of a deal! Even if some of the colours aren’t my favorite, it is still a great deal! The Lip Monthly bag is a fun and cheap way to get those new lip and beauty products each month. On their notecard this month they acknowledged that with COVID-19 being around people are often wearing face masks so they are including more non-lippies in the bags each month. I especially love the variety of lip products and other beauty products!

Draper James Straw Bag With Floral Scarf – $75

This Draper James bag is my favorite item this season in my FabFitFun box! I am so in love with it! Reese Witherspoon has been my favorite actresses since I was a little girl, watching the movie, Man in the Moon, so choosing this bag was a no-brainer. The bag is even more beautiful in person! It is the perfect bag to start off this summer right, looking fun and flirty!

R+Co TELEVISION Perfect Hair Shampoo + Conditioner – $64

I chose this shampoo and conditioner duo because I wanted a high-quality product with great reviews that I would probably never purchase this for myself. It was the perfect splurge. At $64 for the combo, I will use this sparingly, at least until my next FabFitFun. I cannot wait to try these out tonight!

Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler – $23

When choosing this detangler, I thought it would be the perfect compliment for my R+Co shampoo and conditioner. The reviews were amazing and having long, thick, wavy hair, I could always use help easing the chore of brushing and straightening it, while maintaining it’s health.

My Surprises:

Zoe Ayla® Ice Roller – $30

Would I ever purchase this myself?… No! But so far, my whole family has enjoyed playing with the ice roller. Maybe this is a beauty tool that will become more useful as I am getting older?! Also, I know my kids will love using it on their mosquito bites!

The Lyfestyle Co Beach Mist After Sun Spray – $42

For someone that is prone to getting burnt, I look forward to trying this Aloe, mint and lavender after sun mist. I will be storing it in the refrigerator to cool and refresh my skin on those hot summer days!

Winky Lux Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil – $16

Eek… how did someone know I need my eyebrows enhanced?! My only hope is that it is easy to use and looks natural.

MakeupDrop Hybrid Makeup Applicator – $20

I have seen these all around for a few years now, but never tried one for myself. So I am excited to finally have my own! Guess I need to start wearing more make-up now!

Spongellé Coconut Verbena Hand Cream – $18

Coconut anything is my favorite, and this hand cream is no exception. It makes my hands feel smooth, hydrated and it smells delicious!!!

Each season you will also get the FabFitFun magazine featuring a detailed description of all the seasons items, special articles on the charity – Special Olympics, and a feature article about the cover girl – Gabby Douglas.

Each box also has coupons inside. This month I got coupons for Green Chef and Bright Cellars, unfortunately us, Canadian cannot use these.

Verdict: It has been awhile since I got a FabFitFun and it is so nice to get one again! I forgot how much I loved it!!! This Summer box was extra special because I got to customize a few of my favorite items. It still felt like a surprise when they came in the mail, but I was guaranteed to get at least some awesome useful products too, even if there were a few products I didn’t care for. When I added up the total price for all the items in my box, I was blown away… $288 usd for only $50 usd ($10 coupon and $8 shipping to Canada). Just the Draper James bag alone was more than the cost of the box! For myself, this box is an amazing value. It is a wonderful treat every season and I feel like I am spoiled and got some great deals! This FabFitFun Summer box was a late Mother’s Day present from my husband and kids, so unfortunately, you cannot purchase this box anymore. They do have the FabFitFun Summer Editor’s Box available, filled with favorites from past boxes!

I am busy and happily enjoying this box and I cannot wait for my next FabFitFun Box!
