Inside each CucinaKids you will get seasonal recipes, a shopping list, an educational activity or experiment, a quality cooking tool, ChitChat conversation starter questions, a themed patch and fun cooking facts and tips.

This season’s recipes are: Roasted Butternut Squash Soup, Apple Cider and Apple Crisp Cake.

A simple and easy to carry shopping list to take with you to the grocery store.

Verdict: Since schools closed down in March I began cooking more and more by myself as a hobby. So of course, I felt very excited when I heard that we were getting a new Canadian cooking box coming in the mail! I loved making the apple cider and cake (I still have to make the butternut squash soup)! They were very easy recipes to follow and my whole family thought they tasted delicious! Even my little sister tried them and loved the apple cider! I would recommend CucinaKids to any kids who love cooking and who love to have easy recipes to follow! Sock Box.ca is a Canadian monthly sock subscription for men and women. Their aim is to provide awesome socks to help brighten up your sock drawer and make your day awesome. Sock Box is unique in that they are only available in Canada and their socks are sourced from many different sock companies. Depending on the sock each month, the socks are typically a blend of  70-85% combed cotton, 10-28% nylon/polymide, 2-5% spandex/elastane.

I was so excited to find out that there was this local subscription sock box just up the road from me in Calgary! I could not wait to receive and review these fun, trendy socks!

I am a huge sucker for a handwritten note card in my subscription boxes and check out that matching envelope and stationary!

Purple Umbrella and Rain Cloud Socks

These are super adorable! I love the mismatched patterns. I also, have heard many great things about this local sock company, so I am excited to now have my own pair! With the fall weather soon upon us…I can’t wait to show off my new socks! These socks are for women sizes 5-10 and men sizes 4-9.

 

Ballonet Socks – Turkey

Colourful TV Squares Socks 

Super bright and fun colors! These so soft and comfortable. I wish the pattern was located more centrally on the sock, to allow for a fun design to peek out from under the pants, not just the yellow sock. These socks do not say they are only for men, but with the larger sizing I would assume men would most likely be the target audience. They fit a wide range of sizes 8-12.

 

Verdict: I love supporting small, local Canadian businesses. Sock Box gives you that extra special touch which really makes you feel valued as a customer. Each of the socks distributed from Sock Box were personally tested and tried out by the founders. They support many local and some not local sock companies, through their unique business model, which in turn helps everyone be successful. And we, as customers, are able to try socks from a wide variety of different companies, with many awesome, unique designs! You do not have a choice in your socks, but for the value these socks are a great, fun surprise in the mail each month.
