Verdict: It is no surprise that my whole family, yes, Dad included, loves Annie’s Kit Clubs! We have been so lucky to review a few other Annie’s Kit Clubs, including Annie’s Young Woodworker’s Kit Club. My eight-year-old daughter, who loves cars and building things has been asking me for a few weeks if she can build this kit. She knows that it’s for her and her dad to build together for some daddy-daughter time.  With some help from Dad, she was off to the races hammering away to create her new gravel truck. The whole project didn’t take too long but they loved to break it up into multiple days; one day for building, one for painting, and one for decorating. The whole time my daughter was so focused, and determined to work on it every night after dinner until it was done! Then the hours since then she has been playing with it, make it a great value for the money, especially when your first one is 50% off!!! I can with certainty say that the Annie’s Young Woodworker’s Kit Club is my ballet-loving, daughter’s favorite subscription box!

Verdict: Annie’s Kit Clubs offer a wide variety of crafting subscription boxes mostly for women, teens, tweens, and kids, both boys and girls. With their constantly expanding collection, you are bound to find the perfect subscription box for the crafter in your life or even yourself. This is the third Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club I have completed and I have been lucky enough to review many of the other Annie’s Kit Clubs, see them all here. Often with the Annie’s Kit Club boxes, there is one or two standard first boxes that you will receive for your first time subscribing. My first subscription was the Birdhouse Cottage, yours might be something different. Each of the kits is very straightforward with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions and each subscription is focused on a different crafting technique. The Crystal Suncatcher focused on wire crafting, which was new to me. Once you understood the process, it was simple and easy to duplicate for the following steps. The Crystal Suncatcher only took me a few hours to complete and it looks quite beautiful when the sunlight reflects on the crystals. Each box is a surprise and even if you order the same month as me you might get a different craft. That is the joy and wonder about subscription boxes, isn’t it?!

Annie’s – Creative Girls Club “Dream Catcher & Kindness Shaker Frame” Review

 

Inside each Creative Girls Club, you will get all the pieces you need to create two fun crafts with easy step-by-step instructions inside each booklet.

 

Recommendation: My girls have seen me looking at the Creative Girls Club kits many times. So I decided to surprise them each with their own kits (and yes, I got 80% off each kit!) When they arrived in the mail, they were so happy! They couldn’t wait to see which crafts they had. Our suspicions were right! It was the Dream Catch and the Kindness Shaker Frame crafts. These seem to be the standard crafts in your first box, but don’t quote me on that! The first craft they choose to do was the Kindness Shaker Frame. It was so much fun and simple. They got to experiment with rub-on words (I remember doing these all the time when I was a kid). It was the perfect starting craft. They could easily follow the directions and almost do it all by themselves. The Dream Catcher was more challenging. My daughters both got discouraged when they had to make their own net and I had to help quite a bit when they got knots in the thread. My oldest eventually figured it out and is so proud of herself. They both love their crafts and have them happily displayed in their rooms. I love the balance of one simple and one more complex craft. I found the crafts just the right amount of difficulty for ages 7 to 12 years old. With a 7-year-old needing, some help and a 12-year-old would easily be able to do it by herself. For the price, this is a must-try kids subscription box! Even if you only try it for one month and cancel before the next month. And the crafts are even more pretty in person!

Recommendations: Omg, I am so pleased with how these cards turned out! They look so fancy and were actually quite simple. I have dabbled in card-making years ago and actually have quite a bit of the supplies, but I just never get around to making them anymore. The Annie’s Cardmaker kit was easy enough for even beginners like my husband and kids to create beautiful cards. Yes, they did even create their own cards for my upcoming birthday this month. We all had so much fun layering while using the die cuts to make the cards pop and look so professional. The kit showed us how to create four unique cards, but with many extra die-cut pieces, card stock, and patterned paper everyone loved making their own creations as well and we still have many more pieces to use for future cards. I think this many have expanded my daughters’ minds with a whole new way to create cards for friends and family. Annie’s CardMarker Kit-of-the-Month Club has definitely helped step up our family’s birthday card game, no more store-bought cards from our family.

Recommendations: Our whole family loves all of the Annie’s Kit Clubs we have tried so far. Click here to see our past reviews. One of my daughters’ favorite boxes is the Creative Girls Club. They love that it comes with two awesome crafts each month. One for each girl and the fun can be spread out over the course of a few days or a few weeks. My daughters enjoyed making the jewelry organizer together this month. They each took turns building their favorite parts (painting verses assembling) and with a few hiccups along the way they created something that is useful and beautiful without any help. My youngest loved it so much that before I could even take a picture, it was hung up on her wall.

The stack bracelets were the other craft in the kit. We have seen these advertised before and my daughters were excited to make them as they love wearing bracelets. However, with a few of the bracelets it was a challenge to slide on the beads and even with adult help we couldn’t get may of the beads to slide on the string, no matter what we did. It was rather frustrating for everyone. In the end the bracelets that we did make looked beautiful. Even for a nine year old this craft was quite difficult and required lots of parental help for most steps. With some modifications made on the size of the beads, this would be a very cute craft that a girl can be proud to wear and show off to all her friends.
