Verdict: I was so thrilled to receive the very trendy Christmas gnomes as my first Annie’s Christmas Ornament Kit Club craft. I love everything gnomes and these make the perfect addition to my Christmas tree decor. Within the last year, I have discovered a love of felting while completing another Annie’s Kit Club, Halloween pumpkins. I am amazed at how adorable my creations turn out, even when I have very little experience with felting. In the end, everything seems to come together and look just perfect! These little guys were very time-consuming but well worth it! After completing three individual and unique gnomes, I still have enough felt to make probably another 3 gnomes or other projects. I love that I now have all the tools I need for future felting projects. Even our cats love the tightly felted balls so much that, at least on one occasion, have been known to take the gnome off the tree to have a play!

Verdict: I am so in love with these macramé coasters! They are so cute and the perfect colours (with the exception of the blue, it didn’t go with my decor, so I chose not to make it) and a fabulous addition to my living room decor. This is my first time trying macrame and honestly, I’m not sure it’s my thing. I absolutely love how the coasters have turned out but this particular craft wasn’t very relaxing and many times I just wanted to give up. I found it quite challenging and I just couldn’t get mine to look like the pictures, which was disappointing. I’m sure there are many people that thoroughly enjoy macramé, I’m just not one of them. That being said, all the other Annie’s Kit Clubs I have reviewed have been amazing for myself and my family.

Recommendations: I was so surprised when I checked the mailbox and saw a Ruby Crate for my sister and me. We couldn’t wait to open the box to see what was inside! I liked how everything was doubled, so my sister and I got the same things. Everything was packaged so beautifully and there were so many great items, such as pink pineapple lip balm, a personalized necklace, and the most amazing drink containers, to name just a few things. The pineapple-shaped lip balm was so cute and the strawberry-banana flavour smells delicious. I was so surprised when I saw that my initial was hand-stamped on the necklace, I felt very special! The colours on the water bottle are so fun and trendy, perfect for summer! This is the second time I was lucky enough to get a Ruby Crate (see our Fall 2020 Ruby Crate review here) and once again my sister and I love everything!!! Recommendation: My girls have seen me looking at the Creative Girls Club kits many times. So I decided to surprise them each with their own kits (and yes, I got 80% off each kit!) When they arrived in the mail, they were so happy! They couldn’t wait to see which crafts they had. Our suspicions were right! It was the Dream Catch and the Kindness Shaker Frame crafts. These seem to be the standard crafts in your first box, but don’t quote me on that! The first craft they choose to do was the Kindness Shaker Frame. It was so much fun and simple. They got to experiment with rub-on words (I remember doing these all the time when I was a kid). It was the perfect starting craft. They could easily follow the directions and almost do it all by themselves. The Dream Catcher was more challenging. My daughters both got discouraged when they had to make their own net and I had to help quite a bit when they got knots in the thread. My oldest eventually figured it out and is so proud of herself. They both love their crafts and have them happily displayed in their rooms. I love the balance of one simple and one more complex craft. I found the crafts just the right amount of difficulty for ages 7 to 12 years old. With a 7-year-old needing, some help and a 12-year-old would easily be able to do it by herself. For the price, this is a must-try kids subscription box! Even if you only try it for one month and cancel before the next month. And the crafts are even more pretty in person!
