Verdict: Each month I love the surprise and variety I receive in the Nature’s Wellness box. I love that each of the products inside my box each month are supporting local Canadian companies, often with a focus on smaller businesses never mass market items (maybe with the exception of the snack this month) or overseas products. These are products that I can feel good about using on my body and in my home.

Wild | Life Outdoor Adventures Review – Kit #4: Take Cover

Inside each Wild | Life Adventures kit you will find everything you need to create a new and amazing adventure outside in your backyard or in the back-country.

This month’s activities include: Wild Shelters, Tarp Master, and Base Camp.

Each of the Pack-tivity cards clips nicely inside your Field Notes journal (from kit #1:Bear Essentials Kit) for future use and to take with you while you are out exploring. Each month there are three tri-fold activity cards.

The activity cards will provide you with many tips and facts about how to use the items and equipment in the kit. Each of these cards provides fun activities and inspiration to get outside as a family and explore the wide world we live in.

#1 Wild Shelters: Learn about animal shelters, where the best place to build your own shelter, about debris hunts, and fun did-you-know facts.

#2 Tarp Master: Different ways to rig up a tarp, tie a taut-line knot, a step-by-set guide to setting up your tarp shelter, fun games to play out in nature, and how to tell how much daylight is left using your hand.

Enjoying the last weekend of warm summer camping, until the snow came. Staying up late to check out the tarp tent in the dark and craft glow stick toilet paper animal eyes for their camp (idea from Kit #2: Into the Night)

Recommendations: My husband and I cannot believe how amazing the Wild | Life Outdoor Adventures kits are! Each box is very well thought out, with a great mixture of crafts, facts, and learning while getting outside in nature. We have received a few different Wild | Life Outdoor Adventure boxes to review over the last few months and are constantly blowin’ away! (See the reviews for the other boxes here.) My kids and their friend had so much fun with this box on our recent camping trip in Kananaskis, Alberta. Upon arrival at the campsite, they immediately set up their tarp (with some help) and continued building and playing in their homemade camp over the course of the weekend. They were constantly using items and building crafts from this kit and their past kits. I love how each of these kits builds on the previous kits adding more useful outdoor gear to our collection each time. I do wish that I could purchase a sibling add-on kit or some of the gear separately (such as a second tarp, headlamp, backpack, or other main items). I’m not sure who loves the Wild | Life Outdoor Adventures kits more… Mom and Dad, or the kids?!

Verdict: I have been lucky enough to receive a few Nature’s Wellness Boxes over the past few months and I must say this is my favorite box of theirs yet! I do follow them on Facebook, so often I know more or less what types of items will be inside the box before I even receive it. Needless to say, I was so happy when I got the Dock & Bay Quick Dry Towel. This quick dry towel is awesome! It is huge, so soft and pink, my favorite colour! I love it! I see so many great uses for it. From camping, swimming lessons for the kids and for those few rare times when we go to the beach (there aren’t many beaches close by where we live). Another item that I couldn’t wait for was the routine natural deodorant. It is locally made from a company in my city and I have been lucky enough to try it multiple times over the last few years. This sample pack is exactly what I need. Everyone’s body reacts differently to deodorants, so this is the perfect opportunity to find my favorite scent that works best for my body. The value of this month’s box for me was worth every penny! I fell in love with a few new great items and was reacquainted with a familiar brand that I had forgotten how much I loved.

Verdict: I was so excited to receive my Nature’s Wellness box in the mail this month. It is a fun surprise that I look forward to each month because I know that each of the products are going to improve the way I feel both inside and outside my body. Since having received my first box last month, I have activity been trying to think and be mindful of what I am using on my body and putting in my body. I was happy to see such a different assortment of items than last month, yet they are along the same product line focusing on health and wellness. I loved that it included pampering products, as well as, some very practical and useful products too. My favorite products this month would be the face sunscreen and the beeswax wrap. My family spends lots of time enjoying the outdoors and this sunscreen is an essential for my daily life in protecting my skin. I have seen beeswax wraps around over the last few years but never knew much about them. I am so thankful that I am now able to try one out…who knows maybe I’ll have to purchase a few more later on!

This Canadian made tea is high in antioxidants without the caffeine. The burst of citrus and gingery finish is sure to sooth both mind and body.

This tea sounds perfect for today on such a cool, rainy day. Even my daughter was excited that it was caffeine-free so she could sample it too!

BRIDALWOOD SOAPS French Lavender Clay Soap – $7

Even through the outside of the box I could smell this lovely soap made with luxurious butters and goats milk. The French Green Clay is sure to keep my hands oil-free without drying them out and the lavender buds will act as gentle exfoliators. Both my kids were excited to open the soap and begin washing their hands… Mommy win!

nature’s ESSENTIAL OILS Lemon – $12

Nature’s 100% pure Lemon Essential Oil is has powerful anti-microbial activity. Not only can it boost energy and metabolism, but it uplifts the mood, enhances skin quality and disinfects surfaces. I am very excited to use this as a natural cleaner, but I have no idea where to start. I wish that a note card of how to use it for the listed purposes was included in the box.

GREEN CRICKET Natural Hand-Sanitizer – $7 each

This Health Canada approved travel-sized natural plant based ethanol hand sanitizer could not have come at a better time! I have never used hand-sanitizer so much in my life and I feel like I could honestly write a book about the good and bad hand sanitizers on the market. This one is lightly scented with lavender, citrus and orange oil extracts. I’m not sure I have ever loved a hand sanitizer, but these are about as good as hand sanitizers go. They will surely come in handy in the car and my purse.

IBUKI BEAUTY Rose – $9

A combination of salt, sugar and various rose ingredients in this shower scrub helps reduce redness, is a natural source of Vitamin C & E, beneficial for acne prone skin and dry skin. A product just for me and I can’t wait to give my skin a lovely refreshing look.

BEEKEEPER’S NATURAL Propolis Throat Spray – $14

An immune system boost with 95% bee propolis extract that is naturally rich in antioxidants and powerful germ crushing compounds. A must-have for anyone who travels often, trains hard, gets sore throats or is needs an extra line of immune defense. I am probably most excited to use this spray when cold season comes around or even if anyone in the family is feeling a little drained of energy. At the same time, I would rather not have to use it and everyone can just stay healthy!

GREEN CRICKET SPF30 Lip Balm – $5

I love lip balm and I use it many times a day! This one from Green Cricket is certified by Health Canada and is made without harmful chemicals, artificial fragrances or colours. The SPF30 is just what I need during the upcoming summer months.

Verdict: Getting to enjoy this new Canadian based health and wellness subscription box was truly such a treat. Within our family we don’t always purchase organic but when I am faced with the opportunity to try natural, non-toxic products I am constantly amazed and this subscription box was no exception. Nature’s Wellness Box delighted me with a wide variety of healthier living: beauty, lifestyle, health and pampering products from local small businesses. Each of these products was hand-picked and curated within this box with purpose. Our lives have been turned upside-down lately and these products provide some peace of mind knowing you don’t need to sacrifice your health to maintain cleanliness and don’t forget to take time for yourself and your own mental health.

The first thing I noticed was that this box had such cute packaging when it arrived in my mail box! My name was printed in a fun font and the package contained a matching design throughout the box. I love the attention to detail!
