Recommendation: If you love crafting this may be the subscription for you! With sixteen different Annie’s Kit Clubs crafting subscription boxes to choose from everyone is bound to find one box they love. I choose the Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club because I have seen many beautiful crafts that have been made in the past and I couldn’t wait to try any of them. Often with the Annie’s Kit Club boxes, there are one or two standard first boxes that you will receive for your first time subscribing. I got the Birdhouse Cottage as my first subscription. There were only a few steps from start to finish which were quite simple: sand, paint, and nail together. I chose to slightly customize the birdhouse by painting the roof trim black instead of white. Annie’s Creative Girls Club is a crafting subscription box for girls ages 7-12 years old. Each month they will get 2 kits with easy-to-follow instructions and all the materials needed to get crafting with minimal adult supervision. They will have fun learning to paint, bead, stitch, papercraft, and more!
Inside each Creative Girls Club, you will get all the pieces you need to create two fun crafts with easy step-by-step instructions inside each booklet.
Recommendation: My girls have seen me looking at the Creative Girls Club kits many times. So I decided to surprise them each with their own kits (and yes, I got 80% off each kit!) When they arrived in the mail, they were so happy! They couldn’t wait to see which crafts they had. Our suspicions were right! It was the Dream Catch and the Kindness Shaker Frame crafts. These seem to be the standard crafts in your first box, but don’t quote me on that! The first craft they choose to do was the Kindness Shaker Frame. It was so much fun and simple. They got to experiment with rub-on words (I remember doing these all the time when I was a kid). It was the perfect starting craft. They could easily follow the directions and almost do it all by themselves. The Dream Catcher was more challenging. My daughters both got discouraged when they had to make their own net and I had to help quite a bit when they got knots in the thread. My oldest eventually figured it out and is so proud of herself. They both love their crafts and have them happily displayed in their rooms. I love the balance of one simple and one more complex craft. I found the crafts just the right amount of difficulty for ages 7 to 12 years old. With a 7-year-old needing, some help and a 12-year-old would easily be able to do it by herself. For the price, this is a must-try kids subscription box! Even if you only try it for one month and cancel before the next month. And the crafts are even more pretty in person!

The Artshine company has been around for several years making a difference in many communities in Ontario and Montreal. They provide mobile art programs to schools, churches, youth programs, community centre, retirement homes and more. The sister company ART4ALL is a non-profit program providing art programs for all people, many of who are disadvantaged by life circumstances, income and ability.

Each ARTSHINE in a Box kit comes with all the supplies needed to create a beautiful art project that your child will be so proud to show off. With the structure of an online video tutorial, it ensures a wonderful masterpiece will be created.
We were very lucky to receive two elementary age projects to review in one box. One main project for each of my daughters. Plus a few small bonus projects.

Recommendations: The ARTSHINE in a Box comes with everything! I could not believe how they completely included everything you could possibly need to create to perfect project, in one box, right down to the water dish, paper towel and paint mixing plate! As a mom I love this box, because I don’t have to do any of the planning and gathering of supplies. Everything is so straightforward! The videos were amazing! It was like my kids had their own private instructor teaching them cool art techniques, except they could pause and replay as often as needed. Our box also came with a few other simple bonus projects. These are quick and easy when you only have a few minutes to craft! They don’t require any setting up or much cleaning up and are perfect as a grab and go project too! And those 100% biodegradable packing peanuts are possibly the coolest idea ever! Our whole family enjoyed watching the magic of them disappear completely before our eyes! My kids have seen some of the paintings I have created in the past from PaintNite, this is their own kid version. This box is not just another art box, it allows your kids freedom to create and design while producing something they will be incredibly proud to display and show everyone.
