Recommendations: I was so surprised when I checked the mailbox and saw a Ruby Crate for my sister and me. We couldn’t wait to open the box to see what was inside! I liked how everything was doubled, so my sister and I got the same things. Everything was packaged so beautifully and there were so many great items, such as pink pineapple lip balm, a personalized necklace, and the most amazing drink containers, to name just a few things. The pineapple-shaped lip balm was so cute and the strawberry-banana flavour smells delicious. I was so surprised when I saw that my initial was hand-stamped on the necklace, I felt very special! As you can tell from my selection, I am not a huge oatmeal fan. I much prefer granola. Of course, I did need to try at least one bag of oatmeal so I chose the monthly special: Strawberry & White Chocolate. It included small bits of freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate chips that melted to create sweeter-tasting oatmeal. The whole family found the ratio for water to oatmeal did not make the oatmeal as thick as we like it but actually quite watery. Once we figured out the perfect measurements, the members of my family who are oatmeal lovers did really enjoy the taste of the oatmeal.
How can you go wrong with Birthday Cake granola??? It was my birthday a few weeks ago and as a special birthday treat Oatbox gave me the Birthday Cake granola FREE!!! How could I not sign-up to get that!? It is such a fun flavoured granola, complete with sprinkles and all! Such a nice sweet treat for my birthday!
The Salted Caramel was the number one pick from everyone in my family and no surprise was the first bag we opened. However, tasty and crunchy it was, it was also a slight let-down. It wasn’t as sweet or caramel flavour as we were hoping for. It tasted much like regular granola (which isn’t a bad thing!)
Quadruple Chocolate has still yet to be opened. Along with our regular cereals, how can we have six bags of granola on the go. Once we eat down some of the open packages we can’t wait to try this one!
The Espresso, Chocolate, and Toasted Pecans and Iced Coffee both have small amounts of coffee in, so naturally, my children will not be having these. My plan worked. Now Mom and Dad, don’t have to share!
Recommendations: I have heard a lot about the Canadian-based Oatbox over the years but never actually tried them myself. Maybe I just assumed that the bags would be small and not worth the price. Or maybe I thought it was only oatmeal (which isn’t my favorite). I was wrong and delightfully surprised! Once the email from Oatbox came into my inbox that said I could get a FREE Birthday Cake granola during February, I began searching their website to learn more about what they offered. I was blown away by the variety of products: granolas, oatmeal, smoothies, coffees, breakfast bars, and more. Some of the flavours are constant every month but there are a few of the monthly specials that caught my eye and what can I say… I am very pleased with my first Oatbox! I loved choosing my favorite flavours in the build you own plan box and it is so easy to cancel if you only want it for a month or a few months. My family is huge into breakfast cereals and especially granola, so I’m sure they will be expecting an Oatbox to arrive in the mail more often. I wonder what flavours we will get next time?

All the ingredients were provided for us to make the meal. The only things we needed from our pantry were the oil and salt & pepper as well as the baking equipment.
The instructions were very straightforward. Some chopping, some mixing, some frying then cook and assemble as instructed.
Our meal was only a serving of 2 but we stretched it for our family of 4 with some additional ingredients. We created our own type of ground beef and turkey burger with a few extra spices, potatoes, and buns we had a delicious meal with leftovers for lunch the next day. Once we added our own food in total we had enough food for 6 servings!
This was the first Chef’s Plate meal the family chose to try! It was a huge success, everyone loved it!
Recipe #2: Sweet Thai Cashew Chicken with sautéed peppers and jasmine rice

This meal was only meant to be for two people so we added more chicken, rice, and peppers to feed our family of four. I love how easy it is to double the recipes to feed more people. And we even have leftovers for the next day!
Thanks to the *chef’s tips regarding spice level we decided to only use a small amount of chili flakes in the main meal but added more individually once everyone’s was dished up.

Recommendations: As the head meal planner and maker in our house, I know all too well how hard it is to think up exciting and delicious recipes for my family. I often find myself stuck in a rut of the same meals week after week. Maybe no one else in my family gets bored of them, but I get bored of making them and eating them! Getting Chefs Plate delivered to my house was a special treat! I had fun choosing a variety of meal recipes that would be new to our family, yet the kids would still enjoy. I am amazed at how quick and relatively easy each of the recipes was to make. You really cannot screw them up. And did I mention they are delicious and the whole family loves them! As my kids are getting older I have learned what they will and won’t eat but with Chefs Plate, the food is very normal with a good amount of favour. I’d be surprised if you didn’t find a few meal recipes that even the pickiest eater didn’t enjoy. I agree with many people that meal prep delivery kit services are more money than I would normally pay at a grocery store, that’s why I only subscribed for one week. We all need to eat and if you’re anything like me, you love getting food at a great price! Recommendations: The ARTSHINE in a Box comes with everything! I could not believe how they completely included everything you could possibly need to create to perfect project, in one box, right down to the water dish, paper towel and paint mixing plate! As a mom I love this box, because I don’t have to do any of the planning and gathering of supplies. Everything is so straightforward! The videos were amazing! It was like my kids had their own private instructor teaching them cool art techniques, except they could pause and replay as often as needed. Our box also came with a few other simple bonus projects. These are quick and easy when you only have a few minutes to craft! They don’t require any setting up or much cleaning up and are perfect as a grab and go project too! And those 100% biodegradable packing peanuts are possibly the coolest idea ever! Our whole family enjoyed watching the magic of them disappear completely before our eyes! My kids have seen some of the paintings I have created in the past from PaintNite, this is their own kid version. This box is not just another art box, it allows your kids freedom to create and design while producing something they will be incredibly proud to display and show everyone.

Recommendations: It is so fun to be one of the first people to get to review and sample a new Canadian subscription box! Of course, I jumped at the opportunity when Hair Box reached out to me. I am constantly struggling with my hair. I have really thick, long hair, that is a beast to deal with. Over the years I’ve dabbled with high-end products here and there, but nothing really stuck or was way out of my price range. Recommendations: I was so excited to open up the SPArty Girl box, I had no idea what types of spa stuff would be inside! I liked how fun and cute the box was with matching packaging inside. The first things I noticed were the pink cocoa bomb and hair drying cap. The cocoa bomb looked so delicious and I couldn’t wait to try it. I loved the fruity marshmallows hiding inside. As you can see in the picture above, I just had to try on the cap. I made everyone laugh and even my mom wants to try it out! This box has a great variety of fun spa and girlie items just for me.
